Key Responsibilities

Project &amp; Client Leadership
<ul>
<li>Serve as the primary client contact and commissioning authority on assigned projects</li>
<li>Lead commissioning strategy for complex and multi‑system projects from pursuit through warranty</li>
<li>Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, and technical credibility</li>
<li>Proactively identify and resolve project risks, scope gaps, and technical issues</li>
</ul>
Commissioning Execution
<ul>
<li>Develop commissioning scopes of work, schedules, and fee estimates for proposals and active projects</li>
<li>Lead design phase reviews including OPR, BOD, plans, and specifications to ensure commission ability and performance alignment</li>
<li>Facilitate OPR workshops and commissioning planning meetings as required</li>
<li>Oversee development of commissioning plans, test procedures, and documentation, including:</li>
<li><ul><li>Pre‑Functional Checklists (PFCs)</li>
<li>Functional Performance Tests (FPTs)</li>
<li>Integrated Systems Tests (ISTs)</li>
</ul></li><li>Perform and/or oversee site observations, system testing, and issue resolution</li>
<li>Lead commissioning meetings and ensure accurate documentation and follow‑through</li>
</ul>
Financial &amp; Operational Accountability
<ul>
<li>Maintain accountability for project budgets, schedules, and deliverables</li>
<li>Collaborate with Project Accountants to support accurate invoicing, forecasting, and financial performance</li>
<li>Partner with the Cx Project Coordinator to maintain project plans and resource alignment in Vision</li>
<li>Ensure project execution aligns with contract scope, safety requirements, and internal quality standards</li>
</ul>
Technical Leadership &amp; Mentorship
<ul>
<li>Provide technical guidance and quality oversight for commissioning staff</li>
<li>Mentor and support the development of junior and mid‑level commissioning providers</li>
<li>Contribute to the refinement of commissioning standards, tools, templates, and best practices</li>
<li>Support internal training and knowledge sharing initiatives</li>
</ul>
Closeout &amp; Warranty Support
<ul>
<li>Lead development of commissioning reports and systems manuals</li>
<li>Facilitate warranty walkthroughs and ensure documentation is updated accordingly</li>
</ul>
Skills &amp; Competencies
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated leadership in commissioning and project delivery</li>
<li>Advanced understanding of building systems within the built environment</li>
<li>Strong client‑facing communication and relationship management skills</li>
<li>Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently</li>
<li>Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills</li>
<li>Working knowledge of local energy codes, LEED commissioning requirements, and industry standards</li>
<li>Financial acumen related to project budgets, schedules, and contracts</li>
<li>Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents and drawings</li>
<li>Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) preferred</li>
</ul>
Qualifications &amp; Experience
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a related field and 7 - 10 years of progressive experience in commissioning, MEP construction, or project management 
OR equivalent combination of education and experience</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience leading complex commissioning projects independently</li>
<li>Project Management certification preferred</li>
<li>Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred</li>
<li>Building Commissioning certification preferred</li>
<li>OSHA 10‑hour Construction Safety and NFPA‑70E preferred</li>
</ul>
Travel: Up to 75%

Compensation &amp; Benefits:
The expected base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $115,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
