<div>Summary:

The Facility Services Technician is responsible for all cleaning activities and light maintenance at the Mabel Boswell Memorial Library and East End Library, as well as back-up/as needed for the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library and quarterly at the Gann Museum. In addition, the technician will complete bag runs between library branches as scheduled. 
Qualifications:

High School Diploma, valid Arkansas Driver&rsquo;s License, commercial housekeeping experience and clean driving record are required. 
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of commercial cleaning supplies, procedures, and techniques</li>
<li>Able to accurately estimate time and materials for assigned cleaning duties</li>
<li>Ability to perform light maintenance duties</li>
<li>Ability to communicate and work cooperatively with other library staff</li>
<li>Requires walking and standing for long periods</li>
<li>Requires lifting and carrying of up to 40 pounds</li>
<li>Requires ability to safely drive library vehicle or their own vehicle to and from branches.</li></ul> 


Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Maintains an inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies and requests replenishment supplies</li>
<li>Vacuums carpets and sweeps and mops hard floors</li>
<li>Cleans bathrooms as needed and replaces paper products daily</li>
<li>Dusts and cleans library shelves, blinds, tables, and chairs</li>
<li>Empties trash and recyclables/transports to pick up zone</li>
<li>Cleans and disinfects stainless steel water fountains and elevators</li>
<li>Ensures meeting room and board room are clean and in good condition</li>
<li>Waters plants</li>
<li>Ensure entry ways and circulation desks are clean</li>
<li>Cleans offices and workrooms by removing trash, dusting, sweeping and/or vacuuming</li>
<li>Cleans staff breakroom (communal space, not personal dishes, etc.)</li>
<li>Light cleaning of the Gann Museum when necessary and occasional deep clean</li>
<li>Light maintenance duties (changing light bulbs, batteries, etc.)</li></ul>
