Our team plays a critical role in supporting industries that power the future.About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial and cost accounting data, supporting month-end close processes, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive informed business decisions.This position plays a key role in maintaining financial accuracy within a fast-paced manufacturing environment and requires the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Key Responsibilities Cost Accounting<ul><li>Maintain and oversee the standard costing system, including labor, overhead, and machine rates</li><li>Ensure accurate inventory costing and valuation, including monthly reconciliation of perpetual inventory</li><li>Analyze cost transactions to ensure proper allocation to jobs and reporting units</li><li>Perform variance analysis and profitability reporting</li><li>Support pricing initiatives in collaboration with sales and engineering</li><li>Recommend and implement process improvements and internal controls</li></ul>General Accounting &amp; Financial Reporting<ul><li>Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger</li><li>Prepare and post journal entries and support month-end and year-end close processes</li><li>Reconcile balance sheet accounts and review income statement accounts for accuracy</li><li>Track and manage fixed assets and project accounting</li><li>Allocate expenses appropriately across reporting units</li></ul>Accounts &amp; Cash Management<ul><li>Perform Accounts Payable (AP) entry and reconciliation, including vendor payments</li><li>Support Accounts Receivable (AR) reconciliation and posting</li><li>Complete bank reconciliations</li></ul>Collaboration<ul><li>Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and sales teams to ensure financial alignment</li><li>Participate in cross-functional initiatives and special projects</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting or related field required</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment</li><li>Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial reporting principles</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems</li><li>Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment</li></ul>Work Environment &amp; Physical Requirements<ul><li>Primarily office-based with extended periods of sitting and computer use</li><li>May require occasional standing, walking, or lifting up to 15 pounds</li></ul>Additional Requirements<ul><li>Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check</li></ul>Equal Employment Opportunity StatementSam Dong Ohio is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
