Position Summary:In support of the Company&rsquo;s primary and single most important objective which is TO GET AND KEEP PROFITABLE CUSTOMERS, this individual is responsible for developing detailed mechanical and structural designs on a project-to-project basis. Successes of the position are measured via the following key indicators:<ul><li>Working safely and meeting all environmental standards of the customer, OSHA, and the employer</li><li>Designing systems and equipment that meet project specifications, satisfy applicable regulatory requirements, remain within budgetary constraints, minimize field installation time, and avoid the need for rework</li><li>Timely and accurate completion of drawings and other related paperwork</li></ul>Position Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop detailed mechanical and structural designs on a project-by-project basis, including the execution of all design activities</li><li>Create process plant and structural steel skid-mounted unit assembly drawings and plant general arrangement drawings using Autodesk Inventor, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary project team</li><li>Perform structural analysis and part modeling in Autodesk Inventor, maintaining the part library</li><li>Develop part specifications and assembly bills of materials</li><li>Support purchasing and manufacturing teams with activities related to assembly construction</li><li>Develop detailed assembly field installation instructions</li><li>Coordinate activities with the shop to ensure accurate implementation of designs</li><li>Conduct shop inspections and document results</li><li>Demonstrate multi-tasking skills to manage concurrent design and development efforts</li><li>Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to clarify instructions and coordinate work</li><li>Perform other job-related tasks as requested and follow any additional instructions as needed</li></ul>Core Competencies (Mandatory):<ul><li>Ability to create detailed drawings of assemblies for customer approval and shop construction</li><li>Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&amp;IDs</li><li>Expertise in modeling process piping and structural steel assemblies using Autodesk</li><li>Ability to implement customer piping and other specifications during the design process</li><li>Strong knowledge of process equipment such as pressure vessels, pumps, pipes, valves, fittings, and structural steel shapes</li></ul>Skills and Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field</li><li>Mechanical Engineering BS degree preferred</li><li>Skilled in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, PID, and 3D modeling</li><li>Excellent computer skills, with a strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, including Frame Generator and Tube &amp; Pipe modules</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li></ul>Working Conditions:<ul><li>Standard office environment</li><li>Field construction environment</li><li>Manufacturing/factory environment</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Standard physical requirements for a typical office environment</li><li>Field/in-plant physical activities (e.g., climbing, lifting, standing, and walking continually)</li><li>Hearing and visual acuity necessary to be aware of and manage safety hazards and environmental issues in the manufacturing and field settings</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
