Growing, fast-paced Costa Mesa firm is seeking an associate with 8 years of litigation experience. The successful candidate will have experience representing clients in all stages of litigation, including but not limited to: preparing pleadings and motions; drafting and responding to discovery; taking and defending depositions; and effectively representing clients at court appearances.Responsibilities<ul><li>Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence and memoranda;</li><li>Interface with clients;</li><li>Prepare discovery; review discovery; respond to discovery requests; prepare discovery meet and confer correspondence;</li><li>Conduct and defend depositions;</li><li>Prepare for and attend hearings; and</li><li>Trial and trial preparation.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Member of the California State Bar;</li><li>8 years&rsquo; litigation experience;</li><li>Strong work ethic;</li><li>Superior research and writing skills;</li><li>Patience to handle ambiguity, changing priorities, and quickly shifting from one situation or task to another;</li><li>Excellent business judgment, interpersonal skills, and sound negotiation skills; and</li><li>Generate high quality work product under tight deadlines.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
