JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Machine Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex manufacturing and facility equipment to ensure maximum uptime, safety, and performance. This role serves as a technical expert, provides guidance to junior technicians, and supports continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Perform advanced preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment</li><li>
Repair and maintain mechanical and pneumatic systems including valves, cylinders, FRLs, vacuum systems, and air preparation units.</li><li>
Lead or support root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective actions.</li><li>
Install, qualify, and support new equipment and upgrades</li><li>
Develop, review, and improve maintenance procedures, SOPs, and work instructions</li><li>
Mentor and train technicians and equipment operators</li><li>
Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and EHS teams</li><li>
Monitor equipment performance and downtime; recommend reliability improvements</li><li>
Manage spare parts, tooling, and maintenance documentation within CMMS</li><li>
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards</li><li>
Troubleshoot HMI systems (Allen-Bradley Panel View, Siemens HMI) for alarms, communication faults, and operator issues</li></ul>
Requirements: 
EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE:<ul><li>
Technical diploma or equivalent experience in Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field</li><li>
5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance within a manufacturing environment</li><li>
Experience supporting automated or high-precision equipment preferred</li></ul>
TECHNICAL SKILLS:<ul><li>
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills</li><li>
Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&amp;IDs</li><li>
Experience with HMIs, robotics, or automation systems.</li><li>
Servo motors and stepper motors</li><li>
VFDs and motor drives (start-up, parameter setting, fault diagnostics)</li><li>
AC &amp; DC motors (single-phase and three-phase)</li><li>
Diagnose and resolve issues related to sensors and automation components.</li></ul>
SOFT SKILLS:<ul><li>
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities</li><li>
Leadership and mentoring skills</li><li>
Effective communication and teamwork</li><li>
Ability to work independently and manage priorities</li></ul>
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment</li><li>
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform hands-on equipment maintenance</li><li>
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or on-call as required</li><li>
Stand and walk for prolonged periods</li><li>
Climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, or platforms</li><li>
Bend, squat, kneel, crouch, and crawl to access machinery</li><li>
Good hand-eye coordination</li><li>
Fine motor skills for wiring, adjusting small parts and precision measurements</li><li>
Good near and far vision (corrected is acceptable)</li><li>
Distinguish colors on wiring or indicators</li><li>
Adequate hearing to detect abnormal machine noises or alarms</li><li>
Comfortable working in hot or cold environments</li><li>
Push/pull heavy machinery, carts or components</li><li>
Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment for extended periods</li></ul>
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Automation and/or Electrical Certification</li><li>
Six Sigma, TPM, or Reliability Maintenance Certifications</li></ul></div>
