<div><p>Performs a variety of duties including front office, scheduling, customer service, routine administrative functions, dispensing and recording durable medical equipment and physical therapy departmental operations.<br>
</p><p></p><p><b>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
</b></p><ul><li>Greets all patients, verifies appointment, provides directions and responds to inquiries.
</li><li>Answer incoming telephone calls; provides basic information, take messages, establish or confirm appointments. Reviews patient registration information for updates and/or changes to primary and secondary insurance coverage to ensure accuracy of billing; updates and amends electronic records as requested
</li><li>Enters information needed for scheduling in the electronic medical record, including primary clinic appointments for patient referrals received.
</li><li>Documents cancellations or changes in the department therapy schedule for all therapy services.
</li><li>Assists with fitting patients for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as directed by provider.
</li><li>Provide patient education regarding use of the appropriate DME.
</li><li>Provide troubleshooting services to patients who have questions regarding their prescribed DME products.
</li><li>Responsible for managing DME and therapy department inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
</li><li>Obtains vendor information and quotes for equipment
</li><li>Ensure that all necessary documentation and authorization is obtained as it relates to payer requirements.
</li><li>Communicates with patients/families and the clinical team to promote positive working relationships.
</li><li>Adheres to departmental and organization rules and local, state and federal laws and regulations.
</li><li>Participates in departmental orientation, on the job training and quality assurance programs/initiatives
</li><li>Regularly participates in trainings and education activities to improve knowledge and skills.
</li><li>Serves as a liaison between departments, such as emergency room, Inpatient, Outpatient, PRC, Case Management and Social Services, and Specialty clinics.
</li><li>Prepares treatment space for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
</li><li>Maintains and sterilizes equipment and supplies to treatment areas, positions equipment for therapist access and positions patient on equipment.
</li><li>Ensures operation of therapy equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instruction; troubleshooting malfunctions; and calling for repairs.
</li><li>Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul></div>

Rehabilitation Therapy Specialist

<div><p><b>THIS POSITION IS Per Diem (PRN), On Call or as needed.
</b></p><p>The Medical Scribe ensures accurate and timely documentation of the medical chart under the supervision of the medical provider; assists the provider by accompanying them during the patient examination to record detailed information into the electronic medical record (EMR); performs other related medical record or clerical duties to increase provider efficiency and productivity for improved patient flow and satisfaction.<br>
</p><p></p><p><b>Essential Functions:<br>
</b></p><p></p><ul><li>Transcribes notes in the medical record for medical provider(s).
</li><li>Accompanying the medical provider during patient visit to capture and transcribe medical record documentation directly into the electronic medical record system (EMR).
</li><li>Alerting medical provider to patients waiting to be seen.
</li><li>Assisting with communication between medical provider and other medical staff members.
</li><li>Tracking laboratory and imaging studies to alert medical provider when resulted.
</li><li>Ensuring medical record compliance by documenting an attestation to include: Scribe name, title and medical provider working with as well as specific date and time entry.
</li><li>Preparing all documentation for medical provider&rsquo;s final review and signature.
</li><li>Compliance with hospital policies, including those relating to HIPAA and Joint Commission.
</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul></div>

<div><p>Provides essential administrative and operational support to the Chief Human Resources Officer, managing the activities and information needed to keep the department&rsquo;s optimal operational efficiency and effectiveness.<br>

</p><ul><li>Schedules and coordinates administrative support activities to facilitate and expedite the administrative priorities of the Human Resources department.
</li><li>Compiles and summarizes information required from files and/or documents in anticipation of department needs.
</li><li>Schedules, coordinates and arranges meetings, including reservations for meeting rooms, scheduling participants, and notifying staff; maintains meetings.
</li><li>In conjunction with leadership team member, manages calendar by prioritizing and arranging projects, appointments and events to ensure optimal utilization of time.
</li><li>Organizes and maintains files, records, manuals, polies and procedures, and other documents.
</li><li>Prepares a variety of correspondence, reports and manuals; initiates responses to inquiries within delegated authority; refers to appropriate party(s) to provide timely and accurate information.
</li><li>Assists leadership team member prepare, organize and finalize various presentations, charts, reports and correspondence.
</li><li>Initiates and coordinates requests for travel, conferences and/or seminars.
</li><li>Participates in a variety of department and hospital educational programs to maintain current skills and competency levels; identifies and discusses performance or training needs with Supervisor.
</li><li>Assists in maintaining employee files to ensure accuracy, ensuring that they are kept confidential and in accordance with all applicable Federal, Tribal, State and licensing requirements.
</li><li>Prepares documents and forms for department operations, including but not limited to, new hire orientation, training documents, interview forms.
</li><li>Provides administrative support to the department such as maintaining employee records, onboarding documents, and benefits enrollment.
</li><li>Supports recruiting coordination, including interview scheduling and candidate communication.
</li><li>Delivers and distributes mail to appropriate staff, and/or to appropriate mail box/bin.
</li><li>Performs additional tasks as assigned.</li></ul></div>
