The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting the overall HR strategy across a variety of ministries, schools &amp; academies, and business functions</b>. This position is responsible for managing the entire recruitment process from start to finish, as well as overseeing employee relations activities. Additional responsibilities include assisting with benefits administration, coordinating with related vendors, and managing various HR assignments and projects. The Human Resources Generalist reports directly to the HR Manager. The successful candidate for this role is expected to be action-oriented, ambitious, and a self-starter who is driven to achieve results. Furthermore, this individual must consistently represent Rock Church and Academy and the HR department in a professional manner, while upholding the integrity of established policies and procedures.</p>

Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></h2><p>
The Human Resources Generalist fulfills a wide range of responsibilities in support of the HR strategy across multiple ministries, schools &amp; academy and business functions. This role requires a proactive approach to talent management, employee relations, and administrative support.</p><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
Talent Acquisition and Recruitment</b></h3><ul><li>
Executes talent acquisition strategies by evaluating recruitment sources and supporting workforce planning to ensure organizational staffing needs are met.</li><li>
Manages the entire recruitment process, collaborating with hiring managers, posting job openings, sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, overseeing applicant testing, and conducting background checks.</li><li>
Assists hiring managers in developing job profiles and preparing new hire offers.</li><li>
Prepares new hire paperwork and delivers orientation and onboarding programs, including required training for incoming employees.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Employee Relations and Engagement</b></h3><ul><li>
Builds strong, professional relationships with internal clients to advise and influence a positive employee engagement and experience.</li><li>
Responds promptly and professionally to requests from staff and leadership, ensuring that HR services meet the needs of internal clients effectively.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
HR Administration and Benefits</b></h3><ul><li>
Supports employees with payroll and benefits self-service questions and provides information as needed.</li><li>
Assists in administering benefits programs, managing vendor relationships, and preparing necessary compliance documentation.</li><li>
Helps with the administration of payroll, benefits, leaves of absence, worker&rsquo;s compensation, and unemployment claims.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Compliance and Record Management</b></h3><ul><li>
Updates and audits employee files to maintain accurate records.</li><li>
Researches, updates, and ensures adherence to employment law and HR standards.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
HR Policies, Systems, and Events</b></h3><ul><li>
Develops and implements HR policies and procedures to support organizational goals.</li><li>
Maintains the HR information system (HRIS) and prepares necessary reports.</li><li>
Assists in planning and organizing employee events to foster a positive workplace culture.</li><li>
Stays up to date with current HR knowledge by attending workshops and engaging in professional networking.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><i><br>
Education, Training, and Experience</i></b></p><p>
A bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred. Candidates should possess a minimum of three to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Comprehensive understanding of human resources principles, practices, legal frameworks, and administration is required. Prior experience with HRIS systems is essential. Proficiency in managing complex employee relations issues at a basic level is expected.</p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

Additionally, candidates must be members of the Rock Church, or if associated with the Academy, members of a Christian church. Regular involvement in church activities, ministries, and events is expected.</p><p>
