Job Description 
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Technician 1, Engineering to join our team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will support our engineering department by performing various technical tasks, assisting with projects, and ensuring the smooth operation of engineering processes.<ul><li>
Assist engineers in the design, development, and testing of products and systems</li><li>
Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of engineering equipment</li><li>
Perform quality control checks and inspections on engineering projects</li><li>
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and records</li><li>
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues</li><li>
Support the implementation of engineering processes and methodologies</li><li>
Assist in the setup, execution and maintenance of laboratory equipment</li><li>
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department</li></ul> 

Qualifications 
<ul><li>
Associate's degree or technical diploma in Engineering or a related field</li><li>
1-2 years of experience in a similar technical role</li><li>
Proficiency in engineering software and tools</li><li>
Experience in NAND or product reliability and testing is a plus</li><li>
Understanding on the protocol specification (SD, SD Express, USB, SCSI, PCIe, NVMe, eMMC or UFS) and associated tools such as (PCAP, Lecroy analyzer) is a plus.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices</li><li>
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics</li><li>
Familiarity with quality control procedures</li><li>
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li><li>
Strong organizational and time management abilities</li><li>
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written</li><li>
Good at creating Test Plan, providing the Execution Timelines</li><li>
Understanding the Test Scenarios / Cases and Executing them.</li><li>
Ability to provide the tests execution results / status on daily basis.</li><li>
Ability to work efficiently in a team environment</li><li>
Relevant technical certifications (preferred)</li><li>
Understanding of engineering processes and methodologies</li><li>
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures</li></ul>

Job Description

Our Firmware Engineering team plays a critical role in designing and optimizing the software that powers our Solid-State Drives (SSD). As an SSD Firmware Engineer Intern, you will work on real-world projects that directly impact our cutting-edge storage solutions while gaining valuable industry experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking self-motivated students to join a growing team of SSD firmware test developers who focus on moving NAND and SSD technologies into new market segments. Ample opportunities to grow their knowledge, professional experience and problem-solving skills.<ul><li>
Collaborate with firmware engineers to design, develop, and test embedded software for SSDs</li><li>
Contribute to the implementation of system level tests to validate the product firmware features.</li><li>
Debug and troubleshoot firmware issues using tools like logic analyzers, emulators, and debuggers</li><li>
Work with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions.</li><li>
Perform unit testing and validation of firmware against established benchmarks and scenarios.</li><li>
Research and present innovative solutions to improve storage validation methodologies.</li></ul> 
Qualifications 
Required:<ul><li>
Current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.</li><li>
Interest and curiosity for Solid State Drives (SSDs), NAND Flash memory and SSD product Security.</li><li>
Available to work a 12-week, full time internship during May/June - Aug/Sept 2025</li></ul>
Preferred Skills:
It&rsquo;s helpful if you meet one or more of the following qualifications, but it isn't a requirement.<ul><li>
Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for embedded systems.</li><li>
Understanding of microcontrollers, peripherals, and interface protocols</li><li>
Knowledge on NVMe, PCIe and Security Protocols like TCG are added advantage.</li><li>
Familiarity with software development, testing methodologies, and fundamental computer science engineering principles.</li></ul>

The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. If your position is non-exempt, you are eligible for overtime pay pursuant to company policy and applicable laws. You may also be eligible for shift differential pay, depending on the shift to which you are assigned.</li><li>
