Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team at MeXo. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, agave spirits, and appreciation for our craft beverage and cuisine programs. Most of all, ensuring that guests enjoy a curated experience. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, providing exceptional service, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standards</li><li>Elevate guest experience and guide guests through our offerings with friendly, knowledgeable, inspired, and unpretentious poise.</li><li>Maintain knowledge of spirits (we can train), producers, drink menus, specials, and promotions to effectively recommend items to guests.</li><li>Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service guidelines.</li><li>Operate the Toast POS system efficiently for order processing and payment transactions.</li><li>Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service at all times.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.</li><li>Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Previous bartending experience is required.</li><li>Strong preference for candidates with both craft and volume experience.</li><li>Strong knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures.</li><li>Proficient in using POS systems, particularly Toast POS or similar platforms.</li><li>Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.</li><li>Knowledge of tequila and mezcal is advantageous but not mandatory.</li><li>Must be of legal drinking age as per local regulations.</li><li>Join our team as a Bartender and contribute to creating an enjoyable atmosphere for our patrons!</li><li>Well qualified applicants are encouraged to email jbargo@mexogr.com</li></ul>Pay: $8.00 - $45.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Shift:<ul><li>Day shift</li><li>Evening shift</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Available weekends including Sunday?</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Bartending: 2 years (Required)</li></ul>Shift availability:<ul><li>Night Shift (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Grand Rapids, MI 49503 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Grand Rapids, MI 49503: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
