 Role Overview
 
 
 
 We are seeking a
 
 Risk &amp; Finance Technology Specialist
 
 with strong expertise in SQL, database applications, and financial data models. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing data flow, enhancing analytical systems, and supporting the migration of Essbase cubes to modern platforms.
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Design, analyze, and optimize data flow and data models for finance and risk technology applications.
 </li>
 <li>
 Write and optimize
 
 complex SQL queries
 
 , including advanced joins and analytical functions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Work with databases such as
 
 Oracle
 
 and
 
 Netezza
 
 to develop, maintain, and troubleshoot applications.
 </li>
 <li>
 Decompose existing
 
 Essbase Cubes
 
 :
 </li>
 <li>
 Analyze cube structures and logic.
 </li>
 <li>
 Document metadata, hierarchies, and business rules.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare solutions for migration or rebuild on modern platforms.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and alignment with business requirements.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 Qualifications
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Proven experience in
 
 risk or finance technology
 
 domains.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong proficiency in
 
 SQL
 
 and database concepts.
 </li>
 <li>
 Working knowledge of
 
 Oracle, Netezza, or similar databases
 
 .
 </li>
 <li>
 Solid understanding of
 
 data flows, data modeling, and database applications
 
 .
 </li>
 <li>
 Hands-on experience with
 
 Essbase cubes
 
 (design, structure, business rules, and migration).
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

 Develop services using technologies Python , Python Framework.
 
 
 Design Integration layer using a combination of approaches (services, messaging etc.) to support downstream data flow and also work in concert with existing systems.
 
 
 AWS Cloud Knowledge Mandatory. Needs to have knowledge on git CICD pipeline.
 
 
 Prepare documentation where necessary, including training, process flows, system structure, etc. Java Knowledge good to have.
 
 
 
 Technical Skills
 
 
 
 API Architecture Understanding: Familiarity with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and other API types.
 
 
 OAS (OpenAPI Specification) Expertise: Ability to read, write, and evaluate API specifications.
 
 
 Knowledge of Protocols: Understanding of HTTP, HTTPS, and possibly other communication protocols.
 
 
 Data Modeling: Proficiency in understanding and evaluating data schemas, like JSON Schema, YAML or SOAP/XML Schema.
 
 
 Security Protocols: Understanding of OAuth, JWT, API keys, and other authentication and authorization mechanisms.
 
 
 Rate Limiting and Throttling: Knowledge of how these policies affect API usage and performance.
 
 
 Development Tools: Familiarity with tools like VSCode, PyCharm
 
 
 Significant understanding of Microservice patterns &amp; concepts &amp; their application to application design and business solutions
