Essential skills and experience:</p><ul><li>
An Associate's Degree in drafting, or a high school diploma and equivalent technical design experience.</li><li>
6+ years of oil and gas, or industrial Electrical and Instrumentation design.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of gas plants and gas processing preferred.</li><li>
Strong understanding of AutoCAD and its commands.
</li><li>Strong knowledge and ability to create; instrumentation plans, interconnection wiring diagrams, conduit/cable schedules, loop diagrams, one-line diagrams, area classification plans, grounding plans, cable tray and conduit plans and sizing, panel layout drawings, etc.</li><li>
Skills in SKM Power Tools, 3D Lighting Calculation program such as DiaLux Evo, and experience using TraceCalc preferred.</li><li>
Ability to interpret P&amp;IDs, Instrumentation wiring and ability to provide I&amp;C input into P&amp;IDs.</li><li>
Associates Degree in Computer Aided Design preferred.</li><li>
Excellent oral and written communication skills required as well as a professional demeanor.</li><li>

Piping Engineering &amp; Analysis Synopsis</b></p><p>
The Piping Engineering &amp; Analysis discipline performs evaluations for piping systems in accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.7, and other codes as applicable to the<br>
specific evaluation being performed. The Piping Engineering &amp; Analysis discipline also performs the following specialty topics.</p><ul><li>
Vibration monitoring and analysis to evaluate system operational vibrations associated with plant modifications and operating events, and to provide vibration prevention and mitigation solutions and designs.</li><li>
Evaluation of hydraulic transients, evaluation of piping systems for thermal stratification effects, operability evaluations, and qualification of piping for hydrodynamic loads.</li><li>
Pipe rupture evaluations, evaluation of pipe wall thinning due to flow accelerated corrosion (FAC) or microbiological induced corrosion (MIC), and pipe flaw evaluations.</li></ul><p><b>
Position Specific Details</b></p><div>
Provides senior level technical direction and supervision to the project team members in his/her discipline. Establishes project task schedules and budgets for his/her discipline to meet overall project requirements. Coordinates activities between disciplines. Is responsible for successful completion of project deliverables to meet all technical, quality, and project controls expectations. Serves as a technical liaison with the client and a lead technical resource on projects.</div><p>
Lead engineers support engineering design projects with the following responsibilities:</p><ul><li><div><ul><li>
Reviews complex calculations and approves simple calculations. Provides technical guidance to project team members. Ensures that calculations are technically sound and in accordance with project requirements.</li><li>
Reviews and approves simple system/structural designs and prepares and reviews complex system/structural designs to ensure completeness, accuracy, quality, constructability, and operability.</li><li>
Performs engineering review of drawings. Reviews design input for complex system/structures. Defines client expectations for drawings. Coordinates interface between design and engineering. Actively participates in design reviews to ensure quality, constructability, and operability.</li><li>
Prepares and reviews major system, installation, and material specifications. Defines technical and commercial requirements, including scheduling of vendor submittals needed for design input.</li><li>
Prepares bid evaluations for complex systems and installation scopes. Participates in bid negotiations with vendors. May evaluate change orders on behalf of the client.</li><li>
Prepares and reviews single-discipline, complex reports/studies. Participates in the preparation of multi-discipline reports. Reviews studies and reports to ensure that conclusions are technically sound, cost-effective, and clearly communicated.</li></ul></div></li></ul><div><b>

</div><p>Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>
This position will offer you the opportunity to work as a senior technical engineer involved in the design, modification, and analysis of electrical systems for projects ranging from existing plant retrofits to new generation installations.</li><li>
You will be involved in power distribution designs and the preparation of specifications for the procurement of major electrical power equipment and related installation services needed to support the projects.</li><li>
Assist project manager in efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.</li><li>
Coordinate systems design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements.</li><li>
Prepare and review functional design drawings including single line, relay and metering, cable block, and schematic diagrams. Prepare documentation for design input for other drawing production and 3-D modeling.</li><li>
Prepare and review detailed calculations, including auxiliary power system studies, voltage drop, protective relay settings, and arc flash calculations.</li><li>
Interface with vendors to prepare bills of material and equipment purchase specifications and provide recommendations to the client.</li><li>
Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements and S&amp;L formats.</li><li>
Perform independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations and drawings.</li><li>
Provide guidance as a mentor in the development of less experienced engineers.</li><li>

5 or more years of experience in power plant design particularly Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) facilities and/or SWRO Desalination plants, with a focus on integrated, detailed system design for new facilities, or modifications or replacements for existing facilities.
</li><li>Experience in the selection of equipment, materials, control philosophy, and the preparation and assembling of calculations and specifications.
</li><li>Experience with electrical system design including medium and low voltage distribution systems (transformers, generators, motors), communication systems, equipment selection, and analytical calculations.</li><li>
Experience performing calculations in ETAP.</li><li>
Experience with international codes and standards including IEC and NFPA.</li><li>
Technically knowledgeable of available electrical power distribution equipment.</li><li>
Experience with physical design including raceway and equipment layouts.</li><li>
Experience with serving as firm/client liaison in a lead engineering role and the ability to manage multiple tasks / projects at once.</li><li>
