Job descriptionWe are looking for a Litigation Associate Attorney to join our team. Our firm specializes in Real Estate Litigation, transactional matters, and general civil litigation cases.Experience preferred in the following:<ul><li>Law and Motion;</li><li>Pleadings;</li><li>Discovery;</li><li>Legal filing &amp; calendaring;</li><li>General familiarity and ability to look up and comply with the Code of Civil Procedure and local court rules;</li><li>Trial experience preferred.</li><li>Trial preparation;</li><li>Work with outside vendors for filing/service, etc.;</li><li>Data input to the legal software (i.e. MyCase)</li><li>Answering phones &amp; client communication;</li><li>(JD Required for Attorney position)</li><li>Must be a team player and have the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Need to be familiar with all phases of discovery, depositions, mediations, drafting motions, oppositions, demurrers, default prove ups, etc.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proven working experience as an attorney.</li><li>Think on your feet and work through settlement negotiations.</li><li>Proven track record.</li><li>Must be able to work in a team setting and organizing tasks.</li><li>Must be self-sufficient and have excellent writing skills.</li><li>Ability to work autonomously and sell effectively.</li><li>Outstanding people skills with a demonstrable aptitude in negotiation.</li><li>Trustworthy and results-driven.</li><li>Basic knowledge of MS Office.</li><li>Valid license to practice the profession.</li><li>Preferred experience with MyCase software.</li></ul>Salary commensurate with experience. Base + performance bonuses. We have two office locations- located in Encino and north Hollywood. This is a full-time salary position, in person.
