Satair (an Airbus Services Company) is looking for a Tooling Services Specialist (Contract) to join our Repair &amp; Warranty department based in Herndon, VA .
In this role you will respond to customer inquiries and facilitate the lease of Airbus proprietary tools, vendor tools, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE), as well as manage their return. Additionally, you&rsquo;ll support tool purchase orders and all related processes.

In support of Warehouse Operations, our team members support everything from receiving to packing and shipping of materials. The warehouse is at the core of our operations, assuring that Team Airbus members and our customers get the materials they need to be successful.

Your Challenges:
Customer Support 40%
Tool Lease
<ul><li>Focal point of contact for our customers in Americas with regards to tool lease services
</li><li>Responsibility for processing the customer's request for tool lease quotations as well as incoming orders
</li><li>Ensuring a smooth progress of the order handling and following up according to customers' requirements
</li><li>Keeping up the material and logistics activities and the associated services for customer satisfaction
</li><li>Proactive notification of the customer about their order status
</li><li>Monitoring and reporting of customer KPI
</li><li>Interface with all stakeholders to ensure Airbus' commitments towards our customers
</li></ul>Tool Sale
<ul><li>Manage end -to-end the interfaces between supplier, customer and internal organizations for all tool sales
</li><li>Manage customer routine, AOG, and initial provisioning tooling purchase orders including maintaining order status records, organizing and hosting customer tooling conference calls, answering customer order inquiries and providing price quotes..
</li><li>Follow-up with customers for tooling returns and warranty claims, accepting and recording feedback regarding damages.
</li><li>Support customer tool order packages; coordinates with tool services management in Hamburg to ensure orders are processed in an efficient and timely manner.
</li></ul>Internal Team Interface 40%
Tool Repair
<ul><li>Generate customer order status reports and internal tool order status reports for customers and internal entities with updated information on order status
</li><li>Work closely with the local repair shops (ex: Hydro, Reel , etc.) and internal customers to ensure that tools are properly maintained, repaired promptly when necessary, and optimized for maximum efficiency
</li><li>Interface with the Quality team to address backlog and quality discrepancies.
</li><li>Manage customer Lease return and Airbus stock (on-shelf) tools repairs and recertification
</li></ul>Reporting 20%
<ul><li>Report status of available Airbus Prop. Tool recertification and lease return available inventory
</li><li>Collection, analysis and implementation of lessons learnt and corrective actions for missed tool lease/sale/repair opportunities.
</li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned.

Your Boarding Pass:
Required:
<ul><li>Associates degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Procurement or an equivalent combination of education and experience
</li><li>3-5 years of experience in a customer service function
</li><li>Demonstrated analytical skills and experience in developing reports describing status of activities
</li><li>Up to 5% Domestic and International Travel involved
</li><li>Authorized to work in the US, Able to work in US without current or future need for visa sponsorship
</li><li>Knowledge of Customer Business &amp; Operations, customer expectations &amp; needs
</li><li>Technical Data Awareness
</li><li>IT affinity to support the digitalization of manual processes
</li><li>Ability to foster and maintain positive relations across functions and stakeholder management
</li><li>Ability to work in an international context
</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

<ul><li>Bachelors Degree is highly preferred
</li><li>Experience with G Suite
</li><li>Previous experience as a Tooling or Repair Specialist in a manufacturing environment
</li><li>Additional technical certifications or training is a plus
</li><li>Knowledge of aircraft maintenance and/or airline operations
</li><li>Knowledge of various hand tools, power tools, machinery, and equipment used in manufacturing processes
</li><li>Proficiency in Spanish
</li><li>Other business integrated systems
</li></ul>Physical Requirements:

</li><li>Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Daily
</li><li>Hearing: able to hear and to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Daily
</li><li>Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Daily
</li><li>Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Daily
</li><li>Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily
</li><li>Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily
</li><li>Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Daily
</li><li>Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer. Daily
</li><li>Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
</li><li>Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor. Daily
</li><li>Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. Daily
</li><li>Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Daily
</li><li>Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
</li><li>Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.

This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.
