Job Title: Device Support Assistant</b></div><div><b>
Position Type: Full-time, Full Year</b></div><div><b>
Job Summary:</b> The Device Support Technician, working with the System Support Technician, is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for district devices used by students and staff within the school district. This role includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing device inventory, and ensuring that all devices are functioning optimally to support the educational environment.</div><div><b>
Key Responsibilities:</b></div><ul><li>
Provide timely and efficient tier 1 technical support to students, teachers, and staff.</li><li>
Oversee the school 1:1 Chromebook program.</li><li>
Perform hardware repairs and maintenance on a wide range of PC, Apple products, and Google Chromebook computers and peripherals.</li><li>
Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems, and facilitating warranty service when necessary.</li><li>
Using the asset tracking software, keep an updated, accurate log of diagnosis and records of when devices are sent out.</li><li>
Assist in managing device inventory.</li><li>
The role involves submitting warranty claims for Chromebook repairs, preparing and shipping devices via to repair center, and managing the intake of repaired Chromebooks by unpacking, re-enrolling, updating Chrome OS, and facilitating their return to students.</li><li>
The technician will assist the Technical Service Team in the overall management, deployment, repair, and maintenance of the Chromebook environment.</li><li>
Provide excellent customer service to all users, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. Respond to support requests in a timely manner and follow up to ensure satisfaction.</li><li>
In partnership with System Support Technicians support all copy and printing in the school building.</li><li>
Prepare devices for students and staff.</li><li>
Collect devices from departing students and staff.</li></ul><div><b>
