 Job Title: Sock Designer
 
 
 We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Sock Designer to join our design team. This role will be responsible for developing innovative sock designs across multiple categories while collaborating closely with merchandising, sales, and production teams to bring concepts from idea to final product.
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Design and develop seasonal sock collections across men&rsquo;s, women&rsquo;s, kids&rsquo;, and/or licensed categories
 </li>
 <li>
 Create original artwork, patterns, colorways, and graphics aligned with brand identity and market trends
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop detailed tech packs, including yarns, stitches, colors, measurements, and construction details
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with Sales, Merchandising, and Production teams to ensure designs meet cost, quality, and timeline requirements
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage sample development, including reviewing lab dips, strike-offs, proto, SMS, and TOP samples
 </li>
 <li>
 Revise designs based on internal feedback, buyer comments, and production needs
 </li>
 <li>
 Research trends, materials, and competitive products to inform design direction
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare buyer-ready presentations and line sheets as needed
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure all designs are production-ready and meet quality standards
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 1&ndash;5+ years of experience in sock design or hosiery design (or relevant accessories/textiles experience)
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong understanding of sock construction, yarns, gauges, and knitting techniques
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong sense of color, pattern, and trend awareness
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong communication and collaboration skills
 
 
 </li>

 ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:
 
 
 
 Seeking a personable and inclusive team player who is highly organized, proactive, responsible, self-motivated, energetic, with great attention to detail and excellent in communication to join the Design team. Candidate should have at least 5-6 years of related working experience and extensive print and embellishment design experience.
 
 
 Must have strong start-to-finish garment construction knowledge and strong color sense. Made in NYC and atelier experience is preferred.
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 This is a full-time opportunity, working on-site from our design studio &amp; atelier in SOHO, NYC.
 </li>
 <li>
 Hours of Operation: M-F 10 AM - 6 PM, though full time associates are expected to have open availability to meet the needs of the business. Additional hours and weekends may be required in the lead up to seasonal collection presentations, photo shoots and markets
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Working with a small team to develop seasonal collections and special projects from start to finish, reporting to the Design Director.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to inspirations, surface treatments, research and sketching.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to print and embroidery development, participate in all development fittings.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to hands on work during sample making when needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicate with vendors and factories whenever necessary.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct local sourcing when needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Work closely with in-house Atelier and Development Team to ensure each new collection is executed to the brands standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to design revisions needed for production.
 </li>
 <li>
 Follow design &amp; studio protocols to help maintain a safe and organized working environment (physically &amp; digitally
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS &amp; KNOWLEDGE:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 BFA or AAS degree in Fashion Design.
 </li>
 <li>
 5-6 years minimum of relatable working experience.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working for a luxury brand in a small and fast-paced environment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Understanding of the brands aesthetic and passionate about maintaining the brands design DNA throughout all aspects of the brand.
 </li>
 <li>
 High design acumen, with a superior eye for colors, textiles, proportions and details.
 </li>
 <li>
 In-depth knowledge of high-end garment construction.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator on MAC. InDesign is a plus.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficient in Adobe Fresco on iPad. (Can be learned on the job).

 Leverage performance metrics to iterate and optimize creative designs for marketing and social media initiatives.
 </li>

 Proactively take on special projects, executing them efficiently with creativity and attention to detail.
 </li>

 Support additional graphics and marketing responsibilities as assigned to contribute to overall departmental success.

 Role Requirements

 BA|BS degree or equivalent work experience.

 Three plus years creating content and material for a fashion company.

 <li>
