<div><b>Job Summary: </b>The Communications Coordinator supports the development and execution of the SCGA&rsquo;s communications and marketing initiatives, playing a key role in ensuring content aligns with the organization&rsquo;s messaging and branding standards. The role is responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing content across various platforms to support the organization&rsquo;s communications strategy. The Communications Coordinator will produce engaging, accurate, and brand-aligned content for digital and print channels while collaborating with internal teams to ensure consistency and quality across all communications.<br>

<div>The Communications Coordinator also acts as the liaison between the Championships &amp; Golf Operations and Communications &amp; Marketing departments, ensuring integration of efforts across the Association&rsquo;s communication strategies.<br>
</div>
<div><b>What You&rsquo;ll Do:</b><br>
</div>
<div><b>Content Creation and Management:</b></div>
<ul><li>Develop and manage content for the SCGA&rsquo;s website, newsletters, social media, and other digital platforms, ensuring alignment with the organization&rsquo;s strategic goals and branding standards.</li><li>
Oversee the daily homepage content and site-wide updates on scga.org.</li><li>
Write and edit articles for FORE magazine and scga.org as needed, supporting content creation and production.</li><li>
Manage the communications calendar, builds and sends for SCGA&rsquo;s e-communications, including newsletters, special events, and digital advertising.</li><li>
Maintain a consistent brand voice across all communication channels.</li><li>
Analyze website analytics for scga.org, preparing bi-weekly reports to assess engagement and effectiveness.</li><li>
Interface with vendors to produce and distribute FORE magazine and other printed materials.</li><li>
Work closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure advertising and/or promotional content is placed in various communication vehicles as needed.</li><li>
Coordinate and maintain the schedule of Communications &amp; Marketing&rsquo;s various check-ins with other departments.</li></ul>

<div><b>Championships &amp; Golf Operations Support:</b></div>
<ul><li>Lead the communication efforts for Championships &amp; Golf Operations, specifically as it pertains to onsite, hybrid, and remote coverage in the event field.</li><li>
Work in close collaboration with Championships &amp; Golf Operations to develop and execute communication schedules for event promotions/registrations and tiered coverage plans.</li><li>
Work with your direct supervisor(s) to effectively balance your support of Championships &amp; Golf Operations with the recurring and fluid needs of Communications &amp; Marketing, ensuring that your schedule meets the priorities of both departments.</li><li>
Manage a list of photographers/videographers, assigning their coverage in advance, providing shot-sheets for clarity and expectations regarding deliverables and deadlines, and managing their invoices for services rendered.</li><li>
Schedule a weekly check-in with a Championships &amp; Golf Operations representative to ensure both departments are aligned on short-term and long-term needs.</li><li>
Assist in video or photo production for key initiatives and provide media support at SCGA championships.</li></ul>

<div><b>What You&rsquo;ll Need:</b></div>
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (B.A.) in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or English, or equivalent education and experience in communications and marketing.</li><li>
At least 2 years of experience in content creation or communications, preferably in a related industry (golf, sports or non-profit).</li><li>
Clear, persuasive communication skills.</li><li>
Strong work ethic with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.</li><li>
Strong interpersonal skills.</li><li>
