Schaendorf Custom Farming is a family-owned company. We are looking to add new skilled Diesel Technicians to perform maintenance on our fleet of heavy duty trucks. FT employees receive free Medical, Vision and Dental Insurance!Pay is based on experienceResponsibilities<ul><li>Inspect vehicles to determine needs for diesel maintenance and repairs.</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel engines (diagnose issues, change parts, clean, lubricate, etc.)</li><li>Maintain accurate records of work performed on vehicles and report any issues.</li><li>Communicate with management regarding maintenance needs, problems etc.</li><li>Maintain clean and safe work environment.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Experience and Skills<ul><li>Basic knowledge of diesel engines and truck/trailer-trailer brakes</li><li>Ability to safely operate a manual transmission is a plus.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., climb ladders, operate machinery, and frequently walk, talk, crouch, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, and reach with hands and arms.</li><li>Willingness to learn new skills including but not limited to hydraulic systems, vehicle diagnostic systems, etc.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>1 year of diesel mechanic experience</li><li>Valid drivers license</li><li>CDL A (preferred)</li><li>Must have your own tools</li></ul>Education &amp; Experience:<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent required; some vocational training or equivalent experience preferred but not required.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From $70,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Referral program</li><li>Tuition reimbursement</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>People with a criminal record are encouraged to applyApplication Question(s):<ul><li>Do you have your own tools?</li><li>Please list your experience working on heavy duty diesel Semi's and trailers</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Diesel Mechanic: 1 year (Required)</li><li>Heavy Duty Diesel Repair: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>CDL A (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
