Position Summary:
The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting daily human resources operations by fostering a safe, compliant, and employee-focused workplace. This role partners closely with employees, supervisors, and leadership to provide guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and performance management while ensuring alignment with Schnellecke Logistics&rsquo; values and operational standards.
This position supports a multi-shift logistics operation and serves as a liaison between local HR, corporate HR, payroll, and operations to ensure consistent communication, accurate data management, and timely resolution of employee matters.
What you&rsquo;ll do:<ul><li>
Execute company values, policies, and HR standards to support a safe and compliant work environment</li><li>
Maintain accurate and complete employee files, including personal data, compensation, benefits, payroll, tax records, attendance, performance evaluations, and termination documentation</li><li>
Support onboarding processes and develop and deliver employee orientation programs</li><li>
Ensure new hires are assigned based on operational needs and properly equipped with the required information and safety equipment</li><li>
Provide orientation training and ensure completion of induction and training records</li><li>
Explain employee benefit programs and serve as a liaison between employees and internal HR or benefit providers</li><li>
Maintain and manage employee data within HR systems, including updates to SKA 360 and biometric employee data</li><li>
Process employee status changes, including hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations</li><li>
Compile attendance data, monitor trends, and implement initiatives to improve attendance performance</li><li>
Provide coaching and guidance to employees and leaders on HR policies, performance management, and workplace concerns</li><li>
Assist with disciplinary processes and ensure fair and consistent application of company policies</li><li>
Support employee relations activities, including investigations, conflict resolution, and engagement initiatives</li><li>
Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and support initiatives to improve engagement and workplace culture</li><li>
Maintain internal communications related to events, announcements, and organizational updates</li><li>
Serve as a liaison between HR, payroll, and operations to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution</li><li>
Promote a culture of respect, accountability, and continuous improvement</li><li>
Maintain high standards of workplace organization and housekeeping within HR areas</li><li>
Promote and enforce safe work practices and always ensure compliance with all safety policies</li><li>
Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and ethical standards</li><li>
Maintain strict confidentiality of employees and organizational information</li><li>
Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs</li></ul>
Requirements: 
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience</li><li>
Minimum 2 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role</li><li>
Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance</li><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook</li><li>
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills</li><li>
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion</li><li>
Demonstrated ethical judgment and employee-focused mindset</li><li>
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment</li></ul>
Work Environment:<ul><li>
Work is performed in both office and warehouse or plant environments</li><li>
Frequent interaction with employees, leadership, and cross-functional teams</li><li>
May require schedule flexibility to support multiple shifts and operational demands</li><li>
Exposure to operational environments, including noise, equipment, and varying conditions</li><li>
Requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods</li></ul>
