QUALIFICATIONS:</p><p>
1.High School Diploma or GED preferred, or agreement to participate in a District sponsored GED preparation.</p><p>
2.Minimum of Two (2) years of experience as a Custodian. A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirement.</p><p>
3.Other successful job-related experience, skill or training may be substituted for the above requirements.</p><p></p><p><br>
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</p><p>
Basic knowledge of maintenance equipment used on assignments. Ability to operate both riding and walk behind mowers. Ability to use weed eaters and other hand-operated equipment. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Knowledge of the occupational hazards involved and the safety precautions necessary in the operation of equipment.</p><p></p><p><br>

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p><p>

3.Act as contact person when maintenance personnel arrive on the site.</p><p>
4.Follow security procedure for the proper opening and the safe closure of building(s).</p><p>
5.Perform cleaning tasks as assigned.</p><p>
6.Perform general maintenance duties.</p><p>
7.Perform maintenance, renovation, and repair of existing facilities.</p><p>
8.Report all safety hazards.</p><p>
9.Maintain accurate records of daily work and time and payroll information.</p><p>
10.Follow safety standards in performing work and report unsafe conditions to site administrator in a timely manner.</p><p>
11.May be required to work after hours and/or weekends.</p><p>
12.Follow all School Board policies, rules and regulations.</p><p>
13.Perform other duties as assigned.</p><p></p><p><br>
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
</p><p>Heavy work. Requires frequent lifting operations involving weights up to fifty pounds, occasional lifting with assistance of heavy objects including teacher&rsquo;s desks, filing cabinets, large tables, appliances such as refrigerators/washers/dryers, etc. Requires lifting, holding, carrying, sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and visual acuity. The worker is exposed to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be high at times. Safety is the highest priority.</p><p></p><p><br>
