Early Childhood Music Instructor (Little Wing &amp; Rookies) &mdash; School of Rock East HartfordInspire the Next Generation of Rockers!School of Rock East Hartford is looking for a passionate, patient, and energetic Early Childhood Music Instructor to lead our Little Wing (ages 3&ndash;5) and Rookies (ages 5&ndash;8) programs. Our West Hartford school has a vibrant, established community of families and musicians &mdash; and we&rsquo;re excited to expand our early childhood programs with an inspiring new instructor.These classes are where the love of music begins &mdash; through rhythm, movement, play, and creativity. You&rsquo;ll guide our youngest musicians as they take their very first steps toward musical confidence and performance.What You&rsquo;ll Do<ul><li>Lead Little Wing classes (ages 3&ndash;5) with parent participation &mdash; introducing rhythm, melody, movement, and listening through games, activities, and hands-on fun.</li><li>Teach Rookies classes (ages 5&ndash;8) where kids begin to explore instruments (guitar, drums, keys, bass, vocals) in a group setting &mdash; no parents in the room, but lots of energy and discovery.</li><li>Create a joyful, structured environment that balances fun with musical learning.</li><li>Encourage curiosity and teamwork, helping each student feel confident and celebrated.</li><li>Communicate with parents about student progress, class themes, and upcoming performances.</li><li>Collaborate with the School of Rock team to ensure consistency and alignment with our music education methodology.</li><li>Inspire and model our inclusive, community-centered culture every day.</li></ul>You&rsquo;re a Fit If You:<ul><li>Love working with young children and have experience teaching, coaching, or leading group activities.</li><li>Have a background in music or education (formal or informal).</li><li>Are patient, positive, and able to manage a room full of excited kids with warmth and confidence.</li><li>Can bring high energy and creativity to every class.</li><li>Are organized, communicative, and reliable.</li><li>Are available for afternoon, evening, and weekend classes.</li><li>Believe in the power of music to change lives &mdash; even at age three!</li></ul>Details &amp; Perks<ul><li>Part-time, with flexible scheduling (afternoons, evenings, weekends)</li><li>Pay: $18&ndash;$25 per hour, based on experience and capabilities</li><li>Training provided in the School of Rock methodology and curriculum</li><li>Fun, inclusive, and supportive work environment</li><li>Discounts on gear and learning opportunities for musical and professional growth</li><li>Opportunities for advancement within the School of Rock network</li></ul>All Are WelcomeWe&rsquo;re a proudly inclusive and welcoming environment.
