<div><p>The <b>Purchasing Buyer I</b> is responsible for supporting the procurement of materials and supplies necessary for production. This role involves managing vendor relationships, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery to maintain smooth operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</p><div><b>
Essential Responsibilities:</b></div><ul><li><b>
Vendor Management and Sourcing (40%)</b><ul><li>
Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable sourcing of raw materials and supplies.</li><li>
Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery performance, and make recommendations for approved vendors.</li><li>
Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules under the guidance of senior team members.</li></ul></li><li><b>
Order Processing and Inventory Control (30%)</b><ul><li>
Process purchase orders and follow up on delivery schedules to ensure on-time and in-full delivery of materials.</li><li>
Monitor inventory levels and place orders to maintain stock at required levels, aligning with production schedules.</li><li>
Collaborate with the inventory management team to track usage rates and adjust purchasing quantities as needed.</li></ul></li><li><b>
Cost Analysis and Reporting (15%)</b><ul><li>
Assist in analyzing cost structures and market trends to ensure competitive pricing.</li><li>
Generate reports on purchasing activities, vendor performance, and cost savings.</li><li>
Support senior team members in the preparation of forecasts and budget analysis for purchasing needs.</li></ul></li><li><b>
Cross-Functional Collaboration (10%)</b><ul><li>
Work closely with production, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure material quality and timely availability for production.</li><li>
Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide updates on procurement status and address any material supply concerns.</li></ul></li><li><b>
Continuous Improvement (5%)</b><ul><li>
Support initiatives to improve purchasing processes, enhance supplier partnerships, and optimize inventory management.</li><li>
Participate in training sessions and contribute ideas to enhance efficiency in procurement operations.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 Standards and CSR efforts.</li></ul></li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Qualifications</b></div><ul><li><b>
Education</b>: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.</li><li><b>
Experience</b>: 2 years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain role, in a manufacturing environment.</li><li><b>
Skills</b>:<ul><li>
Basic understanding of supply chain processes and purchasing principles.</li><li>
Strong analytical and negotiation skills.</li><li>
Excellent communication and organizational skills.</li><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems (i.e. SAP) is a plus.</li></ul></li></ul><p><b>
