We are looking for a highly technical, customer-focused US Sales Engineer who thrives at the intersection of engineering, product strategy, and complex solution selling. This is not a traditional sales support role, this is a strategic technical leadership position that reports to the VP of AD&amp;S and works side-by-side with our customers to solve their problems, hopefully with ScioTeq solutions.

The US Sales Engineer supports the Sales and Product Management organization in complex solution selling by providing in-dept technical expertise and a hands-on mentality. In addition, the position develops a strong relationship with the engineering department of the important customers and strategic projects, as well as internally, to discuss and analyze independent possible solutions for the customer&rsquo;s complex problems and needs. 
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Serve as a primary technical interface between customers and internal teams during strategic pursuits and active programs</li><li>
Build strong working relationships with customer engineering, systems architecture, and program management organizations</li><li>
Lead technical discovery discussions to understand customer requirements, operational challenges, and integration constraints</li><li>
Support customer meetings, demonstrations, technical interchange meetings (TIMs), trade shows, and program reviews</li><li>
Translate complex technical concepts into clear customer value propositions</li><li>
Analyze customer requirements and help define optimal technical architectures and product configurations</li></ul><ul><li>
Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to identify product gaps, enhancements, and roadmap opportunities</li><li>
Assist in defining system-level solutions involving hardware, software, networking, display management, cybersecurity, and open architectures</li><li>
Support technical risk analysis and mitigation planning during pursuit activities</li></ul><ul><li>
Lead development of technical proposal content, compliance matrices, solution descriptions, and technical responses</li><li>
Support US government, prime contractor, and defense-related proposal efforts, including US-eyes-only opportunities</li></ul><ul><li>
Provide voice-of-customer feedback to influence future product development</li><li>
Mentor junior sales engineers and support the development of technical sales best practices</li><li>
Adhere to company procedures and instructions to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality and environmental management system and to minimize environmental impact.</li></ul> 
Required Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering or related technical field</li><li>8+ years of experience in:</li><li>Sales Engineering</li><li>Systems Engineering</li><li>Aerospace &amp; Defense technical sales</li><li>Product management or customer-facing engineering roles</li><li>Strong technical understanding of one or more of the following: Avionics systems, Mission displays, Open architectures (MOSA/SOSA), Ruggedized electronics</li><li>Aerospace certification environments</li><li>Experience supporting complex technical proposals and customer pursuits</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with both engineering teams and executive leadership</li><li>Strong presentation, writing, and technical communication skills</li><li>Ability to travel domestically as required</li><li>US Person required</li></ul> 
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience supporting US defense programs or prime contractors</li><li>Familiarity with DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, ARINC 661, or military standards</li><li>Experience with government procurement environments, OTA programs, or defense acquisition processes</li><li>Knowledge of AI-enabled systems, edge computing, or advanced visualization technologies</li><li>Fluent in French</li><li>Active or previous US security clearance is a plus</li></ul>
