We&rsquo;re looking for a Purchasing Specialist to support our team of Buyers and Procurement Managers at our corporate headquarters in Marysville, OH! This is a hybrid position where some in office work is required and some remote working time is available as well.</div><div></div><div>
If you enjoy a fast-paced, high energy and seasonal manufacturing environment then you will fit in well as a Purchasing Specialist for Scotts Miracle-Gro. On a day-to-day basis you will supports three buyers and managers and ~ $400MM of spend. You will provide analytics, reporting, and systems maintenance to enable innovative and strategic sourcing strategies. In addition, you will be responsible for some minor commodities (less than $20MM of spend) under the close supervision of the Commodity Manager. This includes: supply assurance, sourcing of new components, supplier relationship management, and savings projects.</div><div></div><div>
What you&rsquo;ll do in this role:</div><ul><li>Resolve invoice issues with A/P and the supplier to ensure accurate and on-time payments.</li><li>Complete the contract management process for Packaging Procurement team, finding efficiencies to streamline and automate: Create SAP contracts, complete quarterly contract pricing updates, contract quantity true-ups.</li><li>Complete analysis and report out on MPV analysis.</li><li>Act at project management lead on inventory reduction, savings &amp; productivity, DPO, and others to be assigned.</li><li>Support in strategy development work in different packaging categories.</li><li>Place purchase orders as requested.</li><li>Manage the addition of new suppliers into our system (collect forms, credit, etc).</li><li>Screen potential suppliers.</li><li>Manage lower risk commodities: SRM, sourcing, quotes, negotiation.</li><li>Identify and gain alignment to pursue new savings / value add opportunities.</li><li>Support procurement best practices, policies, and procedures.</li><li>Demonstrate a bias toward action and ability to work autonomously.</li></ul><div></div><div>
What you&rsquo;ll need to be successful:</div><ul><li>Bachelors or Associates Degree preferred or equivalent experience.</li><li>2+ years of Supply Chain experience.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Be a team player with the ability to work on cross-functional teams.</li><li>Experience working on multi-function teams.</li><li>SAP knowledge.</li></ul><div></div>
The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $59,700.00 - $70,200.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.For remote roles where the final candidate resides in Alaska, California, Colorado, Illinois, New York, Oregon or Washington, state required pay thresholds will be factored into base salary.<div></div><div>
