Join our team as a Physical Therapist within our Inpatient Physical Therapy department at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. This energetic team functions in a very collaborative way, both within their team of experienced therapists and inter-disciplinarily with other teams as well. The ideal candidate is eager to learn and develop their skills while maintaining a patient-centered approach to the care they provide.
</p><p>The Physical Therapist provides evaluation, assessment, treatment, and education to patients and family members through a continuum of care according to the Physical Therapy Practice Act, Code of Ethics, JCAHO/UMQC, Policies and Procedures, and Federal/State regulations.</p><p>

Physical Therapist - Inpatient - La Jolla

<div><div><p>Scripps Mercy Hospital has served central and downtown San Diego since 1890 and is the oldest medical center in the county. The San Diego campus is located near the corner of 5th Avenue and Washington Street in Hillcrest.</p><p>
Scripps Mercy Hospital consists of two campuses in San Diego and Chula Vista.
</p><p>Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego&rsquo;s campus includes the O&rsquo;Toole Breast Care Center, a 24-hour emergency room that is a Level I Trauma Center, outpatient physical rehabilitation, minimally invasive robotic surgery and our childbirth unit (including a Level II neonatal intensive care unit).</p></div><div><p>
This is a Casual position (per diem) with an 8-hour varied day shift. We&rsquo;re looking for someone flexible and willing to help cover on-call shifts Monday - Friday (3:30 PM &ndash; 8:00 PM) and weekends (8:00 AM &ndash; 8:00 PM). This position is located at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego in the Hillcrest community.</p><p>

<li>BLS Certification from the American Heart Association</li>
<li>California Department of Public Health &ndash; Certified CNMT</li>
<li>Venipuncture</li>
<li>Completion of a formal training/educational program in an approved school of Radiology Technology</li>
<li>Imaging experience in a hospital or clinic setting</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal skills</li>
</ul>
