This is a casual per-diem position located at our Scripps Corporate Dietary Call Center in 4S Ranch. Must be available to work weekends (Both Saturday and Sunday) and evenings (11:00am-7:30pm and 3:45pm-7:45pm).</b></p><p>

</div><div>Our Diet Clerks provide administrative and clerical support for Food and Nutrition Services. Responsibilities include processing diet orders, assisting patients with menu selections, and distinguishing between food and medication allergies, maintaining current diet orders and menus to ensure compliance to the physician diet order. Diet Clerks must be able to function effectively in a high-volume call center environment. Serving as the liaison between Nursing and Food and Nutrition Services departments handling patient complaints, food issues and basic questions about meals/diets.</div></div><div><p><b>
Required Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>
SD County Food Handler Card, or Food Safety Certificate, or able to pass Food Handlers test given by certified manager or designee within 30 days of hire.</li></ul><p><b>

</p><p>General Surgery &amp; Medical Acute is a 36 Bed General Surgery and Medical Cardiac unit (5P) located in Prebys Cardiovascular Institute on the Scripps Memorial La Jolla campus. The patient populations include bariatric, gynecological, colorectal, and medical cardiac patients.</p><p>
The Supervisor, Patient Care RN ensures nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety. Under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing unit, including managing daily staffing plans. Ensures appropriate and timely use of bed placement technology and adherence to care processes for bed placement/patient transfer/patient transport/room cleaning and patient discharge. Ensures the safe transition of patients through the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care.</p></div><div><p><b>
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:</b>
</p><p></p><ul><li><div>Two years applicable clinical experience, one of which in a leadership role.</div></li><li><div>
Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.</div></li><li><div>

Scripps Mercy Hospital consists of two campuses in San Diego and Chula Vista.
</p><p>Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego&rsquo;s campus includes the O&rsquo;Toole Breast Care Center, a 24-hour emergency room that is a Level I Trauma Center, outpatient physical rehabilitation, minimally invasive robotic surgery and our childbirth unit (including a Level II neonatal intensive care unit).</p></div><div><p>
This is a Casual position (per diem) with an 8-hour varied day shift. We&rsquo;re looking for someone flexible and willing to help cover on-call shifts Monday - Friday (3:30 PM &ndash; 8:00 PM) and weekends (8:00 AM &ndash; 8:00 PM). This position is located at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego in the Hillcrest community.</p><p>
