SCS Engineers is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing Naperville, IL team. Our Naperville office focuses on waste diversion and waste management. We strive to identify innovative ways to repurpose materials and keep them out of landfills whenever possible. How you can make an impact:
<ul><li><div>
You will oversee and guide projects with support from senior team members, collaborating with clients, regulators, and internal staff to deliver high-quality work. You will transition into managing the entire project lifecycle, from scoping and budgeting to work distribution, invoicing, and project close-out.</div><div>
You will take ownership of your projects and contribute to the success of SCS Engineers by:</div><ul><li>
Project Leadership:</li><li><ul><li>
Managing projects in the waste management and waste diversion industries.</li><li>
Coordinating work with clients, regulators, contractors, and team members.</li><li>
Preparing budgets, schedules, invoices, and project deliverables.</li><li>
Providing mentorship and distributing tasks to team members, ensuring deadlines are met.</li></ul></li><li>
Client Engagement:</li><li><ul><li>
Building and maintaining strong client relationships.</li><li>
Communicating project updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.</li><li>
Collaborating with regulators to ensure project compliance with all applicable regulations.</li></ul></li><li>
Technical Contributions:</li><li><ul><li>
Preparing and reviewing calculations, reports, and design documents for engineering projects, including landfill design, permitting, and environmental compliance.</li><li>
Assisting with the development of waste diversion strategies and sustainable materials management.</li><li>
Conducting quality control reviews of work products, including reports, design plans, and data analysis.</li><li>
Supporting environmental sampling, monitoring, and construction quality assurance activities as needed.</li></ul></li><li>
Team Development:</li><li><ul><li>
Leading and mentoring staff to foster professional growth.</li><li>
Reviewing and approving work completed by team members.</li></ul></li></ul></li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in a related field of engineering required. Civil, Environmental, Geological, or Geotechnical Engineering required.</li><li>
Experience: 8+ years in engineering or environmental consulting, with a focus on waste diversion, landfill design, permitting, or sustainable materials management. Project management experience is preferred but not required.</li><li>
Licensure: P.E. registration or ability to obtain within one year is highly preferred.</li><li>
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform fieldwork as needed.</li><li>
Licensing: Valid driver&rsquo;s license and a clean driving record.</li></ul>
Pay Range: USD $95,000.00 - USD $170,000.00 /Yr.
