We are committed to delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial information that supports our clients&rsquo; business success.Position SummaryThe Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions for multiple client accounts. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supports month-end and quarter-end close processes, and delivers consistent, GAAP-compliant financial reporting.This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.Key Responsibilities:Client Accounting &amp; Bookkeeping<ul><li>Maintain accurate general ledger activity for multiple client accounts</li><li>Classify and record financial transactions, including revenue, expenses, accruals, and liabilities</li><li>Review and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation</li><li>Ensure proper coding and consistency across all client financial data</li><li>Maintain organized and audit ready financial records</li></ul>Account Reconciliation<ul><li>Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations</li><li>Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash, receivables, payables, and other key accounts</li><li>Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner</li><li>Maintain reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation</li></ul>Financial Reporting<ul><li>Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements, including:</li><li>Balance Sheet</li><li>Profit &amp; Loss Statement</li><li>Statement of Cash Flows</li><li>Analyze financial results and identify variances or inconsistencies</li><li>Ensure reports are complete, accurate, and delivered within established timelines</li><li>Assist in providing financial insights to support client decision-making</li></ul>Month-End &amp; Quarter-End Close<ul><li>Execute month-end close processes for multiple clients, typically by the second week of each month</li><li>Prepare and review adjusting journal entries</li><li>Ensure all transactions are recorded and reconciled prior to close</li><li>Support quarter-end reporting requirements as needed</li></ul>Vendor &amp; Compliance Support<ul><li>Maintain vendor records, including collection and organization of W-9 forms</li><li>Prepare and assist with 1099 reporting in compliance with IRS requirements</li><li>Ensure adherence to internal accounting policies and external regulatory standards</li><li>Support audit requests by providing accurate documentation and reports</li></ul>Process Improvement &amp; Documentation<ul><li>Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and efficiencies</li><li>Recommend and implement process enhancements</li><li>Develop and maintain standardized procedures and documentation</li><li>Contribute to best practices across the accounting team</li></ul>Client &amp; Team Collaboration<ul><li>Communicate effectively with internal team members and, when appropriate, clients</li><li>Provide status updates and proactively address issues or delays</li><li>Collaborate to ensure consistent service delivery across all accounts</li><li>Support cross-functional initiatives as needed</li></ul>Qualifications:Education &amp; Experience<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)</li><li>2&ndash;5+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles</li><li>Experience managing multiple clients or entities is strongly preferred</li></ul>Technical Skills<ul><li>Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)</li><li>Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online</li><li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and general office applications</li></ul>Core Competencies<ul><li>Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines</li><li>Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities</li><li>High level of accountability and ownership of work</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills</li></ul>Performance Expectations<ul><li>Deliver accurate monthly financial statements within established deadlines</li><li>Maintain clean and fully reconciled balance sheet accounts</li><li>Ensure all client records are complete, organized, and audit-ready</li><li>Demonstrate consistent accuracy with minimal errors or rework</li><li>Effectively manage workload across multiple clients</li><li>Proactively identify and resolve issues before escalation</li></ul>What Sets You Apart<ul><li>Experience in a multi-client or outsourced accounting environment</li><li>Demonstrated ability to improve processes and increase efficiency</li><li>Strong business acumen and ability to interpret financial data</li><li>Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and client service excellence</li></ul>Pay: From $25.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>This is an in person position, not remote.</li></ul>Work Location: In person
