<b>Position Summary:</b><br>
The laminating operator is responsible for the safe operation of a laminator to produce material which meets current quality standards at optimum rates and yields. This responsibility includes the performance of those tasks necessary to achieve proper laminating operation, such as:
<br><ul>
<li>Setting up the laminator according to specifications of each order,</li>
<li>Analyzing quality defects and performing immediate corrective action,</li>
<li>Maintaining a safe and clean work area,</li>
<li>Communicating and cooperating with others in the best interest of Cryovac,</li>
<li>Performing other duties as required to achieve the goals of the department.</li>
</ul>
This position requires an individual to assemble a cross-functional skill set, operate multiple production and material movement equipment, develop and apply an effective SAP / Sym-PLE transaction knowledge, and operate within a highly accurate, multi-tasking attention to detail Team environment.

<b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b><br>
<ul>
<li>Operates a laminator and integral pieces of equipment</li>
<li>Sets up the scheduled order according to the CMIS, Shop floor papers, composite, special instructions, and other production documentation</li>
<li>Loads rolls of both barrier and patch material</li>
<li>Unloads finished rolls</li>
<li>Properly and safely threads material through the laminator</li>
<li>Adjusts web guides for proper roll alignment</li>
<li>Enters order data into the controllers on the main control panel</li>
<li>Perform all quality checks throughout the production of an order maintaining register, material width- patch as well as barrier, patch length, repeat length, patch centering, skew, etc. Verifies material against standards</li>
<li>Assures that materials, equipment, and supplies needed to produce each order are available well in advance of need and are of acceptable type and quality</li>
<li>Follow SOP and Soc to eliminate loss of time and damage to equipment, materials, and supplies used in the laminating operation</li>
<li>Report to MPLT/Supervisor when factors adversely affecting quality or output appear to be beyond the operator’s control, or equipment is in need of repair</li>
<li>Accurately reports all time spent on an order, material usage, scrap, return to inventory, production, setup time and codes, downtime and codes, and order changes into data collection and inventory systems using SAP</li>
<li>Performs all task required to insure a safe, clean, orderly work area at all times</li>
<li>Follow safe work practices and observe the practices of others in the area to prevent injuries to all individuals</li>
<li>Investigates, analyzes, and corrects quality deficiencies as soon as problems are suspected, making the necessary decisions of what to correct</li>
<li>Operates specialized equipment necessary for the proper function of the laminator. This includes: laminator, various lifts and scales, and SAP computer terminal</li>
<li>Performs other duties as requested and or directed by MPTL/Supervisor</li>
<li>Clean and tape rollers and conveyors according to SOP</li>
<li>Perform finished roll bin balancing and researches and corrects discrepancies</li>
<li>Maintains SOC, quality data collection forms, and rate check forms</li>
<li>Performs Product and Facility Sanitation duties as assigned</li>
<li>Perform daily audits to verify inventory accuracy</li>

<b>ROLE PURPOSE:</b><br>
Perform a wide variety of skilled maintenance duties to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all facility equipment, systems, and infrastructure. This includes plumbing, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and general facility support while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
<br><br>
<b>PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:</b><br>
Perform installation, repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on plumbing, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and facility equipment.
<br>Install and repair plumbing systems, including piping, drains, fixtures, and natural gas lines.
<br>Install, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial electrical systems, including panels, circuit breakers, conduit, three-phase motors, transformers, and lighting systems.
<br>Read and interpret electrical prints and schematics and use electrical testing equipment, including multimeters and clamp meters.
<br>Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC systems, air compressors, and air dryers.
<br>Operate, inspect, and perform minor repairs on forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
<br>Assist with equipment installation, relocation, and utility connections, including electrical, pneumatic, and plumbing systems.
<br>Perform general facility maintenance and repairs to support safe and efficient plant operations.
<br>Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements, and maintain compliance with plant safety standards.
<br>Complete preventative maintenance activities, maintenance work orders, and related documentation.
<br>Respond to emergency maintenance call-ins and perform other maintenance duties as assigned.
<br><br>
General Responsibilities
<br><br>
<ul>
<li>Disconnect and reinstall all electrical, pneumatic, and plumbing connections.</li>
<li>Physically move, load/unload, place, level, and anchor equipment as necessary.</li>
<li>Recognize and correct safety or regulatory violations; consistently follow plant safety policies (especially lockout/tag out) and use required PPE.</li>
<li>Work with Fire Department, Sprinkler Contractors, and Security Contractors to test, install, repair, and maintain systems.</li>
<li>Maintain dock seals, man doors, repair wall/floor cracks, mitigate air and pest infiltration.</li>
<li>Support AIB/Food Defense activities through regular inspections and documentation.</li>
<li>Perform housekeeping of maintenance areas to plant standards.</li>
<li>Enter and complete maintenance work orders as directed.</li>
<li>Perform other similar or related duties as assigned.</li>
<li>Be available for off-hours emergency call-in and occasional out-of-town travel (typically 5% per year).</li>
</ul>
Qualifications

<li>High school graduate or equivalent. PC literate. Qualified to work with Industrial Electricity (formal coursework preferred).</li>
<li>Technical background and experience in all aspects of facility maintenance.</li>
<li>General office computer skills including email and word processing.</li>
<li>Ability to operate a forklift and material handling equipment.</li>
<li>Self-motivated with strong initiative and ingenuity.</li>
<li>Effective communicator who can work independently and with minimal supervision.</li>

Job Description</b></h2></div><div><p>
Operators are responsible for the safe operation of plastic envelope manufacturing equipment to produce quality product by continual adjustments of gauges and digital control systems that adjust speed, temperature, and air pressure while also focusing on safety and efficiency. This position assists the department in the safe operation of plastic packaging to produce quality products.</p><div><b>
Responsibilities:
</b></div><ul><li>Responsible for working on the production line - includes inserting materials, folding, inspection, and assembly.</li><li>
Knows and adheres to all safety rules and procedures.</li><li>
Complete all required inspections and testing on products.</li><li>
Visual inspection of chemical pouches for quality issues.</li><li>
Manage production flow and interruption of lines when quality issues arise.</li><li>
Identify defects and communicate with Operator III for possible line adjustments.</li><li>
Comply with Company standards with regard to housekeeping and 6S on machines and surrounding areas.</li><li>
Perform duties of other team members as required during breaks and absences.</li><li>
Supports business needs by working overtime and on weekends as necessary to satisfy schedule requirements</li><li>

Qualifications</b></h2></div><div><p><b>
Experience and Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>
1 year experience in a manufacturing environment</li><li>
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.</li><li>
Basic math, reading, computer, and analytical skills.</li><li>
High awareness towards safety and ability to analyze and solve production facility problems.</li><li>
Able to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team and independently.</li><li>
Able to work overtime and on weekends.</li><li>
Must be able to wear cotton clothing, steel toed boots, and safety glasses.</li><li>
Bi-lingual skills in English and Spanish preferred.</li><li>
Ability to push, pull, and lift weights up to 30lbs.</li><li>
Ability to sit for periods up to 3 hours at a time.</li><li>
Must be able to perform repetitive assembly using hands and arms which includes bending, reaching, and stretching.</li><li>
Dexterity using hand/eye coordination.</li></ul></div></div></div><p></p><p><br>
