Job Description</b></h2></div><div><p>
Operators are responsible for the safe operation of plastic envelope manufacturing equipment to produce quality product by continual adjustments of gauges and digital control systems that adjust speed, temperature, and air pressure while also focusing on safety and efficiency. This position assists the department in the safe operation of plastic packaging to produce quality products.</p><div><b>
Responsibilities:
</b></div><ul><li>Responsible for working on the production line - includes inserting materials, folding, inspection, and assembly.</li><li>
Knows and adheres to all safety rules and procedures.</li><li>
Complete all required inspections and testing on products.</li><li>
Visual inspection of chemical pouches for quality issues.</li><li>
Manage production flow and interruption of lines when quality issues arise.</li><li>
Identify defects and communicate with Operator III for possible line adjustments.</li><li>
Comply with Company standards with regard to housekeeping and 6S on machines and surrounding areas.</li><li>
Perform duties of other team members as required during breaks and absences.</li><li>
Supports business needs by working overtime and on weekends as necessary to satisfy schedule requirements</li><li>

Qualifications</b></h2></div><div><p><b>
Experience and Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>
1 year experience in a manufacturing environment</li><li>
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.</li><li>
Basic math, reading, computer, and analytical skills.</li><li>
High awareness towards safety and ability to analyze and solve production facility problems.</li><li>
Able to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team and independently.</li><li>
Able to work overtime and on weekends.</li><li>
Must be able to wear cotton clothing, steel toed boots, and safety glasses.</li><li>
Bi-lingual skills in English and Spanish preferred.</li><li>
Ability to push, pull, and lift weights up to 30lbs.</li><li>
Ability to sit for periods up to 3 hours at a time.</li><li>
Must be able to perform repetitive assembly using hands and arms which includes bending, reaching, and stretching.</li><li>
Dexterity using hand/eye coordination.</li></ul></div></div></div><p></p><p><br>

Position Overview<br>
The Bag Machine Operator is for learning the Liquibox production positions such as basic machine operation and quality testing that will lead into the machine operation to further career advancement and productivity. The essential function of the Bag Machine Operator will be operating and maintaining the bag lines to safety, quality, and productivity standards.</p><p></p><p><br>

Essential Functions &amp; Responsibilities<br>
<ul><li>Responsible for scrap, efficiency, and product quality.</li><li>Assistance in setting up and operating bag machines and supporting equipment according to product specifications and as scheduled by management in a timely manner.</li><li>Training for routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting to make repairs as directed.</li><li>Supply raw materials to the production floor, pack finished goods, and lifting boxes of materials to load machines.</li><li>Ensure that quality standards are upheld and that any suspect or defective product is reported to be appropriately destroyed or placed on hold for review and decision.</li><li>Fill in and relieve for other production floor positions as assigned.</li><li>Pushing and pulling rolls using operation of hoist to load on machine.</li><li>Assistance in the responsibility for printing and supplying correct parts label.</li><li>Making tape splices at the bag machine packing station.</li><li>Training on process and material workflow to aid in supply of all raw materials, packaging materials, and supplies from the warehouse to machine.</li><li>Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.</li></ul></div></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Qualifications</b></h2></div><div><p>
Education: High School Diploma.<br>
Experience: Experience in manufacturing preferred.<br>
Specific Skills: Ability to read measuring tapes and product specifications with mechanical aptitude.<br>
Equipment &amp; Machinery: Pallet jacks, machine hoists.<br>
Computer Experience &amp; Software: Proficient computer skills.</p><p></p><div><br>
