The human resource manager is responsible for performing HR-related duties in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, and employment law compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS for the position of Human Resource Manager:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
<ul><li> 2+ years&rsquo; experience in Human Resources.</li></ul>
<ul><li> 2+ years&rsquo; experience in Healthcare (Long Term Care Preferred).
</li></ul>RESPONSIBILITIES of the Human Resource Manager include, but are not limited to:
<ul><li> Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Responds to employee relations issues.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Monitors the performance evaluation program.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Communicates benefits information to employees.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Interviews, screens and recruits job applicants to fill job openings.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Conducts new hire orientations.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Coaches, counsels and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Responsible for auditing employee personnel files, keeping them current.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Maintains working relationship with union officials and terms of labor contract.</li></ul>

<ul><li> Reports, maintains and monitors Workers' Compensation, LOA, FMLA cases.</li></ul>
Processes unemployment claims - attends unemployment hearings, if needed.
<ul><li> Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.</li></ul>
