Role PurposeThe Manager &ndash; Risk Management will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing credit risk frameworks for the company&rsquo;s digital lending portfolio. The role focuses on ensuring sound credit decisioning, portfolio quality, regulatory compliance, and risk-adjusted growth, particularly in high-velocity digital lending models.Key Responsibilities1. Credit Risk Framework &amp; PolicyDevelop, review, and maintain the Credit Risk Management Framework, Credit Policy, and Risk Acceptance Criteria (RAC) for digital lending products.Ensure credit policies are aligned with regulatory requirements, internal risk appetite, and evolving business models.Periodically review and recommend updates to underwriting criteria based on portfolio performance and market trends.2. Credit Underwriting &amp; DecisioningOversee and strengthen credit underwriting processes for digital lending products, including:Merchant / borrower onboardingLimit setting and enhancementsException handling and approvalsSupport the design and calibration of rule-based, scorecard-based, or hybrid credit decision engines.Ensure arm&rsquo;s-length credit assessments and governance for special or sensitive exposures.3. Portfolio Monitoring &amp; AnalyticsMonitor portfolio performance across key metrics such as:AUM growthDelinquencies and DPD bucketsDefaults, recoveries, and write-offsEstablish early warning indicators (EWIs) and escalation triggers.Perform portfolio segmentation analysis and stress testing to assess emerging risks.4. Digital Lending &amp; Data-Driven RiskLeverage transactional, behavioral, and alternative data (e.g., payments, wallet activity, logistics or e-commerce data where applicable) to enhance credit risk assessment.Work closely with product and technology teams to ensure risk controls are embedded into digital workflows.Participate in UAT and system walkthroughs to validate credit logic and controls.5. Governance, Controls &amp; ComplianceEnsure compliance with applicable SECP / SBP regulations, internal policies, and board-approved risk appetite.Support internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and management responses.Maintain comprehensive documentation for credit decisions, overrides, and exceptions.6. Stakeholder ManagementWork closely with:Business and product teams to enable responsible growthTechnology teams on credit system enhancementsOperations and collections teams to improve recovery outcomesPresent regular risk dashboards and portfolio updates to senior management and committees.Key Skills &amp; CompetenciesTechnical SkillsStrong understanding of credit risk management in digital lending or fintech environmentsExperience with:Credit policies and RACsUnderwriting models and scorecardsPortfolio monitoring and analyticsFamiliarity with Loan Origination Systems (LOS), Loan Management Systems (LMS), and credit enginesWorking knowledge of regulatory expectations for NBFCs / fintech lendersBehavioral &amp; Leadership SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to balance business growth with risk disciplineClear communication and stakeholder managementHigh integrity, independence, and sound judgmentQualification &amp; ExperienceBachelor&rsquo;s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related fieldProfessional qualifications (FRM, PRM, CFA, CA, ACCA) preferred5&ndash;8 years of experience in credit risk management, preferably within:Digital lending companiesNBFCsFintechs or banks with digital portfoliosJob Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
