What We're Looking For
We are looking for a Content Moderator to join our Community Content team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality of discussions on Seeking Alpha. You will work closely with the team to ensure that all comments on the website adhere to our community guidelines and promptly remove any problematic content when necessary. Community Content Specialists must understand Seeking Alpha&rsquo;s mission and actively promote the company&rsquo;s core values by facilitating intelligent debate centered around investment-related topics. 
Requirements:
 
<ul><li>2+ years of prior experience in content moderation or a related field is a plus.</li><li>
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, with a strong understanding of slang, tone, and context.</li><li>
Attention to detail with the ability to make timely and accurate decisions.</li><li>
Strong understanding of financial, investment, and business terminology and the ability to apply this knowledge in moderation tasks.</li><li>
Strong understanding of content guidelines and the ability to enforce them consistently.</li><li>
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to ensure smooth moderation processes.</li></ul> 
What You'll Do:
 
<ul><li>Address reports of abusive comments and remove content that violates our community guidelines.</li><li>
Screen comments from new users to maintain high-quality discussions.</li><li>
Monitor comments flagged by our internal system for compliance.</li><li>
Conduct daily audits of specific comment sections.</li><li>
Perform daily audits of political comment sections.</li><li>
Suspend users who habitually violate our terms of use and escalate serious abuse to the moderation team leader.</li><li>
Ensure timely discussion by clearing comment queues in the content management system quickly.</li><li>
Handover a clean board at the end of each shift.</li><li>
Flag and report problematic user accounts to the manager.</li><li>
Identify positive, contributing users.</li><li>
Remove spam accounts to maintain a genuine and productive community.</li></ul>
Terms: Night Shift (10 pm to 7 am). Semi-weekend coverage (Sunday &amp; Monday off)
