Job Overview We are seeking a part-time Associate Attorney with a minimum of 5 years experience in probate and trust administration. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage client matters with both technical skill and empathy. This role is well-suited for an attorney looking to refine their practice in probate and trusts while working a flexible schedule. This is a hybrid position that requires two days in office each week.Duties<ul><li>Draft, review, and file probate petitions, pleadings, and related court documents.</li><li>Assist with trust administration, including preparation of notices, accountings, and distributions.</li><li>Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on probate and trust issues.</li><li>Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and fiduciaries with professionalism and sensitivity.</li><li>Represent clients in probate hearings and related court proceedings (as needed).</li><li>Maintain case files, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with the principal attorney and support staff to move cases efficiently.</li><li>Meet with existing and potential clients</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.</li><li>Active license to practice law in the State of Washington (in good standing).</li><li>5+ years of experience in probate, estate planning, or trust administration preferred (willing to train the right candidate).</li><li>Strong legal research, writing, and organizational skills.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and empathy.</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software (experience with Clio is a plus).</li><li>Ability to take the lead on cases</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $57.00 - $65.00 per hourExpected hours: 20 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Renton, WA 98057
