Role Overview:<ul><li>We are looking for a 'Purchase Manager' (full time, onsite in Bengaluru) to join our dynamic team at Selmount Power Systems Pvt. Ltd.</li><li>Will be responsible for end-to-end procurement of materials required for control panel manufacturing.</li><li>Ensure timely sourcing, vendor development, negotiation, and supply coordination.</li><li>Maintain strong liaison with Design, Production, Stores and Quality departments.</li><li>Focus on cost optimization, vendor reliability and timely material availability.</li></ul>Key Responsibilities:1) Procurement Planning &amp; Execution<ul><li>Develop and implement effective purchase strategies.</li><li>Plan material requirements based on project and production schedules.</li><li>Maintain optimum inventory levels and track budget utilization.</li><li>Forecast demand and align procurement accordingly.</li></ul>2) Vendor Management<ul><li>Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for electrical, fabrication, and automation items.</li><li>Conduct regular vendor performance evaluations (price, quality, and delivery).</li><li>Build long-term vendor relationships to ensure consistent supply and quality.</li></ul>3) Sourcing &amp; Negotiation<ul><li>Invite quotations, prepare comparison statements, and finalize suppliers.</li><li>Negotiate prices, credit terms, and delivery timelines for best value.</li><li>Issue purchase orders as per approved specifications and commercial terms.</li></ul>4) Coordination &amp; Follow-up<ul><li>Coordinate with internal departments for material planning and prioritization.</li><li>Monitor open purchase orders and follow up for timely delivery.</li><li>Resolve delivery issues, shortages, or rejections in coordination with vendors and QC.</li></ul>5) Cost Control &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Analyze market trends for potential cost-saving opportunities.</li><li>Maintain purchase MIS reports, budget comparisons, and rate contract data.</li><li>Support management with procurement-related analysis and periodic reports.</li></ul>6) Documentation &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Ensure accurate documentation of all procurement activities as per ISO / QMS standards.</li><li>Maintain purchase records, GRNs, invoices, and quality certifications.</li><li>Comply with GST and internal audit requirements.</li></ul>Required skills: <ul><li>Technical knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of control panel components, switchgear, and automation products, Proficiency in ERP and procurement software.</li><li>Negotiation skills: Exceptional ability to negotiate favorable terms and build profitable vendor relationships.</li><li>Analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess market trends, evaluate suppliers, and manage costs.</li><li>Leadership: Proven leadership skills to manage and motivate a purchasing team effectively.</li><li>Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal departments and external suppliers.</li><li>Detail-oriented: High attention to detail for managing contracts, records, and ensuring compliance.</li></ul>Qualification:<ul><li>B.E / Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering &ndash; Mandatory.</li><li>MBA / PG Diploma in Materials Management &ndash; Preferred.</li></ul>Why Join Us?<ul><li>Exposure to industry-standard practices in control panel manufacturing.</li><li>Supportive work environment with growth opportunities.</li><li>23 year old company with good recognition &amp; leadership</li></ul>Interested &amp; Qualified candidates may share their CV at: digitalmarketing@selmount.inJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹56,893.60 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Cell phone reimbursement</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Ability to commute/relocate:<ul><li>Peenya Small Industries, Bengaluru, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Should mandatorily have 5 years of experience in electrical purchase field</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>Kannada (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
