<div><div>The Server provides an exceptional dining experience for residents and guests by performing the following 
duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 
<ul><li>Dining Room and service preparation</li><li>provides meal, dining and table service to residents and guests</li><li>responds to resident and guest inquiries pertaining to meals</li><li>relays orders to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars</li><li>garnishes and decorates dishes prior to serving</li><li>serves patrons from chafing dish at the dining table</li><li>observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when a meal has been completed</li><li>ladles soup, tosses salads, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee, and performs other services as determined by the community&rsquo;s size and practices</li><li>clears and resets counters or tables at the conclusion of each course</li></ul>
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 
QUALIFICATIONS 
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: 
Education and/or Experience 
<ul><li>High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or 0-3 months related experience and/or</li></ul>
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 
<ul><li>valid Food Handler certification</li><li>CPR certification preferred</li><li>AED certification preferred</li><li>ability to multi-task</li></ul>
Communication Skills 
Ability to:</div>
<ul><li>read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals</li><li>write routine reports and correspondence</li><li>speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization</li></ul>
Mathematical Skills 
Ability to:
<ul><li>add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals</li><li>compute rate, ratio, and percent</li><li>draw and interpret bar graphs</li></ul>
Reasoning Ability 
Ability to:
<ul><li>apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions</li><li>deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations</li></ul>
<div>Computer Skills competency with Microsoft Office Suite 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee: 
<ul><li>is constantly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear</li><li>is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell</li><li>is frequently required to talk, hear, and bend and twist neck</li><li>may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds</li></ul>
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. 
WORK ENVIRONMENT 
While performing the duties of this job:
