Sentry Force Security is seeking several reliable and experienced Armed Security Officers to become an integral part of our team. The selected individual will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Strong customer service acumen required.The pay rate for this position is $22 per hour.<ul><li>Hampton</li></ul>Operational Times / Days <ul><li>7:30a - 5:30p (if deployed)</li><li>7:00a - 11:00a (if not needed)</li><li>Client sites are operational Monday through Saturday</li></ul>Compensation:<ul><li>Starting at $22 an hour</li></ul>Responsibilities:<ul><li>Report to assigned worksite as a standby officer to cover call-outs/staffing deficits.</li><li>Standby &quot;Floater&quot; officer will report &quot;as needed&quot; each day to one of the areas noted above, providing regional support for a statewide contract.</li><li>Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules</li><li>Warn violators of premise rules and regulations</li><li>Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts</li><li>Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes</li><li>Request emergency personnel for high risk situations</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Must have a current and valid armed VA DCJS license.</li><li>2 years previous experience in armed security, law enforcement, corrections, or active duty military</li><li>First Aid and CPR/AED certified</li><li>Must be capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs, running, physically restraining a violent person, lifting objects weighing up to 50 lb</li><li>Strong attention to detail</li><li>Basic computer literacy required to navigate reporting and timekeeping system.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From $22.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Professional development assistance</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Will you be able to reliably commute to Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Williamsburg, Newport News and Hampton? </li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>DCJS Armed Security License (Required)</li></ul>Shift availability:<ul><li>Day Shift (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
