We focus on linear motion for many industries including Theatre, Nuclear, Military and Quick Die Change.We are seeking a Senior Technical Sales Engineer to join our team.The Senior Technical Sales Engineer (Sr. TSE) is responsible for managing customer relationships, including strategic customer accounts, developing business opportunities, and serving as a senior technical sales resource within the Sales Department.The Sr. TSE works closely with customers and internal teams to develop technically sound and commercially viable solutions that support SERAPID growth objectives.The role supports opportunities ranging from standard product applications to complex engineered solutions.In addition to managing customer opportunities, the Sr. TSE provides mentorship and guidance to less experienced Technical Sales Engineers and serves as a key contributor to customer retention, account growth, and business development activities.SERAPID Technical Sales personnel are expected to maintain advanced technical knowledge to evaluate customer applications, support development of technically and commercially viable solutions, and effectively communicate technical concepts related to SERAPID products and solutions.Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop and maintain relationships with customers, including strategic customer accounts and key decision makers.</li><li>Serve as the primary customer-facing technical sales resource for assigned customer accounts and opportunities.</li><li>Support long-term customer retention and account growth.</li><li>Identify opportunities for account expansion, cross-selling, and repeat business.</li><li>Identify and pursue new business opportunities.</li><li>Support customer acquisition activities and strategic pursuits.</li><li>Participate in industry events, trade shows, and customer visits.</li><li>Provide customer and market feedback to support business development initiatives.</li><li>Evaluate customer requirements and application needs.</li><li>Facilitate technical discussions between customers and internal resources.</li><li>Assist customers in understanding the capabilities and limitations of proposed solutions.</li><li>Coordinate development of project scope descriptions, assumptions, and exclusions.</li><li>Support pricing strategy and contract negotiations.</li><li>Maintain opportunity forecasts and sales activity records within CRM (HubSpot.)</li></ul>Education and Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.</li><li>7+ years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, automation, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or related fields.</li><li>Experience managing customer relationships, including strategic customer accounts and complex sales opportunities.</li><li>Strong understanding of mechanical systems, industrial equipment, and engineered solutions.</li><li>Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.</li><li>Supporting business development initiatives and strategic customer pursuits.</li></ul>Required Skills and Abilities:<ul><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and technical problem-solving skills.</li><li>Experience in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.</li><li>Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.</li><li>Experience with CRM and ERP systems.</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.</li></ul>Preferred Skills and Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience with industrial automation equipment, machine design, motion control, lifting systems, power transmission equipment, and manufacturing environments.</li><li>Familiarity with CAD software.</li><li>Proficiency with HubSpot CRM, forecasting, and opportunity management.</li><li>Knowledge of mechanical power transmission, motion control, lifting systems, or engineered equipment.</li></ul>Travel:<ul><li>Travel to customer sites, trade shows, industry events, and SERAPID facilities may be required.</li></ul>Supervisory Responsibilities:<ul><li>None.
