DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing a variety of HR functions, including the new hire onboarding process. This position is responsible for maintaining a variety of electronic data for both the human resources department and employees, reporting and various payroll functions. 
The incumbent will:<ul><li>
Manage onboarding process from start to finish and confirm New Hire Checklist is accurate and complete</li><li>
Verify I-9 documentation and maintain files; enter information into E-verify within the appropriate timeframe</li></ul><ul><li>
Complete background verification for new hires</li><li>
Maintain the HR Intranet page and ADP portal</li><li>
Assist with administering company policies, practices and procedures</li><li>
Administer FMLA requests, tracking and all related reporting</li><li>
Assist with various benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations</li><li>
Maintain a high level of confidentiality</li><li>
Respond to employee requests and questions in a timely manner</li><li>
Prepare various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as well as ad hoc reporting as needed</li><li>
Review time and attendance records for accuracy</li><li>
Assist with reviewing payroll data for accuracy</li><li>
Maintain job descriptions for completion and accuracy</li></ul><ul><li>
Provide a high level of customer service and maintain a positive working relationship to promote a positive service experience for employees and vendors</li><li>
Assist all Human Resources team members with various job duties as needed</li><li>
Responsible for being familiar with all compliance regulations and policies that are applicable to this position and follow and ensure compliance with these regulations and policies</li></ul>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
<ul><li>
High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred</li><li>
Five (5) or more years of related experience required</li><li>
Knowledge of human resources, labor laws, related federal and state laws and regulations</li><li>
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint</li><li>
Knowledge of HR and payroll software or similar software package</li><li>
Excellent organizational and time management skills, as demonstrated in previous position meeting multiple objectives and deadlines</li><li>
Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with officers and employees on matters of a confidential or sensitive nature</li><li>
Experience interacting with employees to research and resolve issues and following up as necessary</li><li>
Attention to detail, as demonstrated in previous experience preparing data and checking for accuracy prior to submission</li></ul> 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS 
The physical requirements and environmental conditions of this position consist primarily of: 
<ul><li>
Sustained standing and sitting</li><li>
Frequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitor</li><li>
Occasional lifting of basic office files or equipment up to 20 lbs</li><li>
Normal office environment with comfortable internal temperatures and low level noise</li></ul>
