<b>The Opportunity</b><p><br>
The Resource Support Assistant provides secretarial and administrative support for attorneys and paralegals in various practice groups. You will be responsible for interacting with colleagues in a workforce setting and upholding the image of the Firm by maintaining positive contact with clients, attorneys and staff, and observing confidentiality of client matters.</p><br>

<b>The Day-To-Day</b><div><br>
On Any Given Day, You Will:</div><ul><li>
Compose correspondence, memoranda and other legal documents. Make edits to and proofread documents; review same for appropriate formatting, spelling, and grammar.</li><li>
Coordinate, follow through and execute work requests from attorneys and paralegals</li><li>
Support projects with other support departments (e.g., client billing, managing clerks office, file/document clerks, office services, etc.).</li><li>
Verify all attachments, exhibits and enclosures are included with transmittal letters/memos, and various real estate and/or corporate documents.</li><li>
Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and firm clients.</li><li>
Prepare expense reports; make travel arrangements; submit conflict checks; prepare meeting agendas; coordinate meetings, conferences, closing packages; track attorney CLE credits and review client billing.</li><li>
Maintain calendars, contacts and deadline reminder systems.</li><li>
Provide overflow and absence coverage as well as secretarial support for the Secretarial Team Members&rsquo; and attorneys.</li><li>
Support various litigation organizational projects as necessary.</li></ul><br>

<b>You Have</b><br>
<ul><li><b>
Ability to work in the office 9:00 am &ndash; 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday (flex schedule offered after training completed).</b></li><li>
1 &ndash; 2 years of legal office experience a plus.</li><li>
Knowledge of basic real estate and/or corporate practice a plus.</li><li>
Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Document Management System), with the ability to become proficient in new software and operating systems. Knowledge of legal terminology.</li><li>
Strong, effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.</li><li>
High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>
Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.</li><li>
Ability to problem solve.</li><li>
Ability to effectively handle multiple assignments and competing priorities.</li><li>
Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment.</li><li>
Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team.</li><li>
Recent experience in a resource/support center at a large, national law firm a plus.</li><li>
Strong proofreading skills, and solid grammar/spelling skills.</li><li>
Familiarity with Carpe Diem, Elite, IManage, Chrome River, Forte or similar technology.</li><li>
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.</li><li>

The salary range for this role is $53,000 to $60,000 annually, which is based on a 35 hour work week. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Boston. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee&rsquo;s pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.</p><p>

The Legal Support Assistant performs a variety of secretarial and/or administrative duties for assigned attorneys working in a fast paced Labor &amp; Employment practice. This position interacts with colleagues in a team setting and upholds the image of the Firm by maintaining positive contact with clients, attorneys and staff, and observing confidentiality of client matters.</div><br>

<b>The Day-To-Day</b><div><br>
On any given day, you will:</div><ul><li>
Draft, input, revise and finalize routine correspondence, memoranda and other legal documents.</li><li>
Proofread documents and check for appropriate formatting, spelling, grammar and context.</li><li>
Verify all attachments, exhibits and enclosures are included with transmittal letters/memos.</li><li>
Complete client/matter forms, request conflicts of interest checks, open new files and maintain all client and general files.</li><li>
Manage multiple partner level attorneys and associates. Maintain and support complex partner level and attorney and team calendars and schedules. Coordinate and manage depositions, mediations, client meetings, team meeting schedules and calls.</li><li>
Maintain client contact information.</li><li>
Maintain electronic client and general files. Review incoming mail, ensure client documents and emails are properly uploaded and filed to the DMS system, Kiteworks, Seyfarth Link, etc.</li><li>
Prepare documents and packages for mail, messenger, and overnight delivery</li><li>
Enter attorney time and send time entry reminders</li><li>
Coordinate and follow through on requests and projects with other support departments (e.g. word processing, receptionists, assist with client billing, records clerks, office services, conflicts department, finance, etc.)</li><li>
Prepare and process expense reports, and vendor invoices in Chrome River.</li><li>
Schedule attorney appointments/client meetings, prepare agendas, coordinate conferences and travel arrangements.</li><li>
Complete other duties and projects as assigned.</li></ul>

<b>You Have</b><br>

A minimum of 5 years of legal assistant experience.</li><li>
Strong proofreading skills, attention to detail and solid grammar/spelling skills.</li><li>
High degree of proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Outlook, Excel).</li><li>
Legal citation and legal terminology expertise.</li><li>
Familiarity with Carpe Diem, Elite, iManage, Chrome River, Forte or similar technology.</li><li>
The ability to organize, prioritize and meet the demands of multiple attorney assignments.</li><li>

File legal documents in federal and state courts, including e-filing in all courts and agencies; prepare documents for service of process; prepare case &ldquo;shell&rdquo; documents for use by attorneys.</li><li>

Maintain good public relations with clients.</li><li>

Prepare expense reports, manage vendor invoices, mailings, and request checks as needed.</li><li>

Schedule appointments and make arrangements for meetings, conferences and travel.</li><li>
Complete client/matter intake forms; request conflicts of interest checks; open new files and prepare files to be closed.</li><li>
Coordinate and follow through on requests and projects with other support departments (e.g., word processing, receptionists, file/document clerks, office services).</li><li>
Provide overflow and absence coverage assistance as well as secretarial support for Legal Support Assistant Team Members&rsquo; attorneys.</li><li>

5-7 years of litigation legal assistant experience, construction litigation experience preferred
