 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: &nbsp;
 
 
 Registers patients and ensures that complete and accurate information is obtained.&nbsp;
 
 
 Accountable for the efficient operation of the front desk and reception function for a clinic department.&nbsp;
 
 
 Provides a variety of administrative and clerical support to facilitate the smooth operation of the clinic or department.&nbsp;
 
 
 Answer phone with multiple lines.&nbsp;
 
 
 Greet and direct patients and visitors to the clinic.&nbsp;
 
 
 Collect and record payments such as co-pays or balance.&nbsp;
 
 
 Ability to manage heavy call traffic quickly and accurately on multi-incoming and outgoing lines.&nbsp;
 
 
 Knowledge of patient confidentiality and privacy requirements.&nbsp;
 
 
 Check in and check out patients.&nbsp;
 
 
 Verify insurance information.&nbsp;
 
 
 Coordinates and schedules services for patients and providers.&nbsp;
 
 
 Manages office supplies as needed. &nbsp;
 
 
 Monitors visitor access and issues passes when required.&nbsp;
 
 
 Receive/transfer patient records and record filing system.&nbsp;
 
 
 Verify patient demographic information and accurately enter the same into computer system.&nbsp;

 &nbsp;
 
 
 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:&nbsp;
 
 
 &nbsp;
 
 
 Must be detail-oriented, possess the ability to multi-task/problem solve, and be open to cross-functional training.&nbsp;
 
 
 Exercise proper phone etiquette and navigate computer software systems proficiently.&nbsp;
 
 
 Be team-oriented and work well with patients, colleagues, physicians, and other personnel in a professional and courteous manner.&nbsp;
 
 
 Have exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks quickly.&nbsp;
 
 
 Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, HCPCS, and ICD coding preferred.&nbsp;
 
 
 &nbsp;
 
 
 Qualifications:&nbsp;
 
 
 &nbsp;
 
 
 1-2 years of medical background.&nbsp;
 
 
 High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)&nbsp;
 
 
 Previous experience as a medical receptionist (Preferred)&nbsp;
 
 
 Knowledge of medical terminology (1 year preferred)&nbsp;
 
 
 Some experience with Outlook, and Microsoft office &nbsp;
 
 
 Bilingual (Spanish and English preferred) &nbsp;
 
 
 &nbsp;
 
 
 &nbsp;
 
 
 Physical &amp; Mental Requirements: (check all that apply)&nbsp;

  Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.&nbsp;
 
 
  Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing.&nbsp;
 
 
  Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving.&nbsp;
 
 
  Occasionally requires exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.&nbsp;
 
 
  Occasional travel for clinic activities may be required. &nbsp;
