Trainee Captain

The Senior Steward is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the stewarding team to ensure the kitchen and service areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained. The role involves maintaining hygiene standards, managing inventory of cleaning supplies, and supporting smooth kitchen and restaurant operations.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Supervise daily stewarding operations and assign duties to stewards.</li><li>Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen utensils, equipment, and work areas as per hygiene standards.</li><li>Oversee proper garbage disposal and waste management.</li><li>Monitor the handling, storage, and distribution of kitchen equipment and supplies.</li><li>Train and guide new stewards on cleaning procedures, safety practices, and hygiene standards.</li><li>Coordinate with the Chef and F&amp;B team to ensure timely support during peak operations.</li><li>Report any maintenance issues or equipment damages promptly.</li><li>Support in setting up and cleaning up during banquets, functions, or special events.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Minimum 2 years of experience in kitchen stewarding, preferably in a hotel or restaurant.</li><li>Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment handling, and hygiene standards.</li><li>Leadership and team management skills.</li><li>Basic communication and coordination abilities.</li><li>Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.</li></ul>Skills:<ul><li>Attention to detail</li><li>Time management</li><li>Team coordination</li><li>Hygiene and safety awareness</li><li>Problem-solving attitude</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: &#8377;12,000.00 - &#8377;15,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Food provided</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Work Location: In person
