<div></div><div>A Cook at Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill is responsible for the proper preparation and execution of breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu items. Successful applicants for this position will have at least two years of experience in a dining room-type restaurant. This position takes part in the daily execution of menu items and must have a do whatever is needed attitude. This position supports management in developing a sense of teamwork and cooperation.</div>

<ul><li>Utilize approved food production standards to maintain proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control</li></ul>

<div>The<b> Kitchen Manager</b> assists the Executive Chef to ensure a profitable and smooth kitchen operation. Promotes maximum customer satisfaction by maintaining high quality control. Provides input on personnel performance, schedule and menu changes, special events, and any other ideas that positively impact the restaurant operation.
</div><div><b>Responsibilities and Duties</b></div>
<ul><li><b>Staff Management</b> -Training kitchen staff/new hires, delegating tasks, providing performance feedback, overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking and plating</li>
</ul><ul><li><b>Quality Control</b> &ndash; monitoring food preparation, ensuring consistency in quality and taste, using FIFO to ensure proper food rotation</li>

These products include but are not limited to a variety of signature breads, cookies, pies, cakes and other assorted baked goods. Successful applicants will be accomplished bakers. They will be creative and have a passion for baking and take pride in their work. They will have the ability to keep up with high product demand during peak periods without sacrificing quality.</div>
