<div><div><div><b>Position Summary:</b> Responsible for ensuring that all manufacturing requirements relating to Safety, Quality and Delivery are met. This includes key performance measures relating to production.</div>
<div></div><div><b>Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to, the following:</b><br>
<ul><li>Manage the daily production function within a plant for a single production line or specific area for one shift.
</li><li>Support and track progress against Shape's operational KPIs, e.g., safety, quality, delivery, and waste.
</li><li>Promote Shape's core values and systems.</li><li>Faciliate general problem solving activities with the intent of determining corrective and preventive actions.</li><li>Manage development, training and implementation of standardized work within APTs.</li><li>Ensure verstatily process is being followed in APTs</li><li>Champion continuous improvement activities and mentor team leaders in the use of lean philosophy and tools.</li><li>Set direction for respective production area and hold individuals accountable to performance standards and expectations.</li><li>Conduct timely and complete performance evaluations of direct associates, as well as those reporting under your indirect supervision.</li><li>Assess subordinates skill sets, current and future development needs and take steps to mentor and develop them appropriately.</li><li>Manage staffing for respective area to meet ongoing production requirements and proactively escalate staffing shortages/surpluses.</li><li>Conduct Pre-shift meetings to communicate company news, review safety and quality issues, address questions, etc.</li><li>Participate in one APT top5 daily and give feedback to team leader on Top5 performance</li><li>Review production results and respond to any customer issues or equipment stoppages / problems.</li><li>Execute routine inspection of the production area to review status of safety and quality compliance.</li><li>Coordinate communication / documentation between shifts.</li><li>Coordinate any repairs with maintenance.</li><li>Identify and train a back-up(s) to manage key tasks when absent.</li><li>Additional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the leader.</li></ul></div>

<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in business, management, engineering or a related discipline; consideration may be given to those who hold 6 years suggested minimum experience.
</li><li>Minimum of three years of experience in a supervisory or team leader position preferred</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Applications.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience building relationships across career levels and functions.</li><li>Strong problem-solving acumen with demonstrated experience utilizing lean manufacturing methods and tools.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop others through support, coaching and accountability.
</li><li>Demonstrated use of business, financial and functional acumen to drive sound decision making.</li></ul></div></div>

Production Supervisor - 1st shift

<div><div><div><b>Position Summary:</b> The Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the performance metrics and KPI's are achieved. Facilitate problem-solving activities within assigned production area when abnormalities impact the performance of the area. Helps monitor shift start-up/hand-off activities, associate training, compliance with standardized work.</div>
<div><br>
<b>Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to, the following:</b></div>
<div></div><ul><li>Lead shift start meeting (Top5) with all the team members of the team.</li><li>Drive troubleshooting and problemsolving activites within a dedicated production area when target performance is not achieved.</li><li>Proactively facilitate continuous improvement activities.</li><li>Cooperate with cross-functional team members to make improvements as needed.</li><li>Measure, chart and monitor predefined performance metrics.</li><li>Coordinate on-time production start-up and monitor Kanban for respective production area.</li><li>Ensure smooth hand-off to the next shift by communicating production levels and issues.</li><li>Lead efforst to improve and update standardized work regularly</li><li>Daily audit compliance with standardized work, escalating identified issues and retraining associates on the correct processes.</li><li>Monitor adherence to 5S and drive improvement efforts.</li><li>Develop and share A3 problem solving stories within and across facilities.
</li><li>Adopt and implement best practices (A3's).</li><li>Manage versatility process with the APT .</li><li>Perform on-the-job training and cross-training of associates as needed.</li><li>Help teach and develop team members in lean manufacturing principles and capabilities.</li><li>Answer associate questions and foster a positive team oriented environment.</li><li>Help manage staffing assignments and schedules including job rotation and overtime.</li><li>Escalate labor shortages to Production Leader and cover absenteeism by operating equipment, as needed.</li><li>Work on line 30% of the time during a week.</li><li>Provide Production Leader with input into the performance of team members as requested.</li><li>Serve as temporary Back-Up Leader to cover absences of Production Leader.
</li><li>Perform and demonstrate production and/or assembly of parts in a safe manner adhering to all Safety policies.</li><li>If trained as a first responder, provide injury related response as necessary.</li><li>Additional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the leader.</li></ul>

</li><li>Sucessful completion of Shape Corp. Leader Bootcamp training, or equivilant</li><li>A minimum of 1 year of experience in the relevant manufacturing area and process; Shape Corp. Manufacturing Technician experience preferred</li><li>Previous experience coaching others and/or assisting with on-the-job training preferred</li><li>Preference to working with people in a team environment</li><li>Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
</li><li>Strong problem solving skills with prior exposure to lean manufacturing tools and techniques</li><li>Task oriented with strong attention to detail
</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Demonstrated experience working effectively in a team environment</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Applications</li></ul></div></div>
