What&rsquo;s the role
The FPP Scheduling Advisor aids sites to deliver maximum value from margin optimization activities implementing planning and scheduling work processes, increasing staff competencies, assuring accurate representations in optimization and scheduling models (including gasoline blending). They provide deep expertise in the understanding and use of the site Scheduling Models for Refinery and Chemical site planning through the deployment of cutting-edge technology. The Advisor works in close collaboration with site E&amp;S teams, P&amp;T Basic Data, Scheduling, Crude and FPP Excellence Advisors.
The FPP Scheduling Advisor Role is seen as critical to ensuring that the E&amp;S community is well supported and to help maximize value generation from our sites. The Advisor will work closely with his peers in o ther regions as needed to maintain high level of competency and support each other on technical upskilling for themselves and the teams they support.
What you'll be doing
ACCOUNTABILITY
Provides functional and thought leadership and expertise for Scheduling Excellence in Chemicals and Products .
MODELING
<ul><li>Acts as primary technical expert for E&amp;S Scheduling tool (currently Aspen&rsquo;s APS/Orion), supporting site Scheduling teams. (Scheduling and Blending)
</li><li>Supports practitioners with urgent problem solving to ensure business continuity and escalates to central TBI Optimization Advisors or 3rd Party vendor as appropriate.
</li><li>Implements new advanced simulation and optimisation capabilities and better representation (including visualization) of process plants in Scheduling tools. Supports in the assurance that scheduling models are lean, up to date and changes are communicated amongst Scheduling and Planning Advisors and EMC&rsquo;s to ensure alignment between PIMS, Orion and MBO models.
</li><li>Provides support to configure all existing and new reports from the tools. Supports programming, testing, enhancements, configuration, maintenance of non-IT supported data input and Solution reports.
</li><li>Maintain best practice recommendations in a structured fashion, and help propagate these within the E&amp;S practitioner community for Scheduling and Blending.
</li><li>Support in effective backcasting activity and practices that ensures the health and fidelity of the relevant submodels, databases, data tables, model logic, stream routings, blend rules and properties, with the intent of constantly driving optimal solutions and decision making by the practitioners.

<ul><li>Support with structured margin improvement interventions and ensures / assists with implementation of recommendations as relevant with Scheduling and Blending capability of sites
</li></ul>DATA INTERFACES
<ul><li>Ensures validation of data flows of daily baseline data interface configurations (PI and LIMS), all movement interface configurations and all hourly plant data (PI and LIMS) into the &lsquo;model accuracy&rsquo; graphs (configuration, troubleshooting, and display) &ndash; i.e., hourly snapshots of tank inventories, hourly average stream flows/yields, operating conditions, etc.
</li><li>Coordinate data interface bug fixes or enhancements with IT
</li></ul>INSTALLATIONS AND TROUBLESHOOTING
<ul><li>Provides business advice to DS IT regarding Scheduling/Blending PC software installations and helps troubleshooting where needed
</li><li>Configure and support maintenance of Add-ons (with data tables/files) for standard and site relevant work-processes. Coordinate Add-on bug fixes or enhancements, Beta Testing and User Acceptance testing with IT.
</li></ul>DATABASE MANAGEMENT
<ul><li>Coordinates database table purge requirements (retention days/dates) to stay consistent with site work processes and to prevent the database size from causing failures in MDB backup creation.
</li><li>Corroborates with IT to ensure all SQL and MDB backup creations are complete and routine (which involves oversite/monitoring).
</li><li>Provides site database user account management, including user group model/event permissions configuration setup and changes.
</li><li>Provides maintenance, programming, and updating of the site MDB Pass-through database (including up-to-date AspenTech data queries).
</li></ul>GENERAL E&amp;S SUPPORT
<ul><li>Ensures compliance with the requirements and consistent application of the FPP planning work processes in AMS and assists with the closure of recommendations.
</li><li>Scheduling Advisor will lead regional Scheduling networks with support from a sponsoring E&amp;S Manager. Networks will play a key role in the new organizational setup to ensure peer-to-peer collaboration and support between the various sites, as well help in ensuring best practices in the relevant areas are being pursued at all of our sites
</li><li>The Advisors will network with their global Advisor colleagues in the East and Americas regions as well to ensure inter-regional connectivity.
</li></ul>What you bring
<ul><li>Preferably with degree in chemical engineering or equivalent.
</li><li>Significant years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry with proven exposure in Economics and Scheduling.
</li><li>Suitable applicants may have a scheduling and/or a general refinery technology background with some knowledge of core refinery processes and is able to understand the economics of these processes. Relevant experience in refinery technology, oil movements or supply &amp; distribution is an advantage.
</li><li>Experience in refinery scheduling with APS/MBO (or equivalent) is required.
</li><li>A high level of comfort in using computer-based tools as well as unit simulators. Advanced spreadsheet skill required. Understanding of IT technologies, Data Analysis techniques, databases, and reasonable computer programming skills is a plus.
</li><li>Fully versed with MS Office suite of software (Word, Powerpoint and Outlook)

What's the role
The Market Risk (MR) department is a specialized unit in Finance Operations (FO) that operates in the Chennai and Manila centers. The team has frontline responsibility for risk measurement, deal valuation, exposure reporting and price validation. The department pulls together a range of expert skills that ensure accurate, timely reporting and allow MR to offer professional advice on the wide range of issues that the department gets involved in. Scope: 
 
This description details the role for a &lsquo;Specialist&rsquo; who will be part of the SEAM/SEAu (Shell Energy Americas &amp; Shell Energy Australia respectively) team in MR Chennai. The candidate will primarily assist with the desk reporting for SEAM. Additionally, as part of the larger team covering SEAM and SEAu desk reporting, the analyst may need to cover the primary SEAu analyst during their absence.
The SEAM team follows daily P&amp;L and exposure reporting as well as the additional structured activities that are operated either daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly. The portfolio covers the New Energies business- Gas and Electricity trading portfolios in the North America and Brazil. The team relies heavily on the use of smart analytic tools for its core deliverables- working with multiple ETRM (Energy Trading Risk Management) systems, using queries to retrieve information from archived databases. SEAus is a relatively new, up and coming business for T&amp;S. In the last couple of years, there has been growth in business (notably the ERM acquisition in 2019) and more work is expected to come in for the Chennai team over time. The changes based on anticipated growth in trading activity and/or increasing complexity of deals will necessitate additional oversight into the trading portfolio.
As a Market Risk team member, the primary function will be to detect, quantify and communicate potential for unforeseen or unidentified risk within trading activities Additionally, this role liaises with Accounting/ Finance, Operations and Commercial teams to ensure deals are captured accurately and reflected correctly in our systems. Cross training will be required to provide cover on daily, monthly and quarterly reporting processes for the Market Risk team. Individual will be frequently involved in development of the day-to-day and monthly processes and systems in order to keep pace with the ever-changing trading environment.
What you will be doing
<ul><li>Understand key P&amp;L drivers and articulate strategy-based P&amp;L commentary whilst demonstrating a commercial understanding of the business
</li><li>Leverage Market Risk modelling practices including Value at Risk &amp; Stress Testing to understand and communicate the risk in the portfolio
</li><li>Understand trading account structure, exposures and P&amp;L generated by different transaction types in the book
</li><li>Provide ad-hoc analysis by running queries into the Trading Risk databases
</li><li>Monitor exposure limits daily within the Trading Control Framework and Manual of Authorities (MOA)
</li><li>Ensure activities are carried out with safety awareness and are performed in compliance with external regulation, the Shell Control Framework, SOX &amp; Financial Reporting requirements; and Shell Trading mandate and policies
</li><li>Liaise with business users and technical support to identify, analyze and resolve application issues
</li><li>Monitor and report KPI for both external (traders) &amp; internal performance metrics

As a Maintenance Planner (Mechanical [Static/Rotary/Turnaround]), you are responsible for end-to-end planning of preventive and corrective maintenance for rotary and static equipment using SAP Plant Maintenance. You develop detailed work packs based on technical documentation and site conditions, plan resources and materials, prioritize tasks, assess risks, and coordinate with cross-functional teams. The role supports remote assets, ensures compliance with Shell standards, and uses tools like Primavera for scheduling complex, multi-disciplinary scopes.
What you&rsquo;ll be doing 
 
<ul><li>Primary responsibility in preparing work plan/packs for daily, weekly, monthly routine planning in SAP PM Module for Rotary, Static equipment&rsquo;s
</li><li>Responsible for preparing/developing routine work plan with comprehensive work packs from overhaul reports, maintenance reports, general task list, equipment specific task lists, spare part list, equipment drawings, circuit diagrams, P&amp;IDs, operation and maintenance manuals of OEMs , Asset best practices , technical implementation letter (TIL) etc., for rotary equipment like pumps, compressors, turbines etc., and static equipment like columns, safety valves, PRV&rsquo;s/PSV&rsquo;s, pressure vessels, heat exchangers etc. as per Shell Standards
</li><li>Primary responsibility in preparing/developing work plan with comprehensive work packs from Calibration reports, maintenance reports, general task list, equipment specific task lists, spare part list, equipment&rsquo;s drawings, circuit diagrams, P&amp;IDs, instrument logics, cause &amp; effects , Equipment data sheets, operation and maintenance manuals of OEMs etc for electrical switchgear, HV/LV Transformers etc., for various operating units as per Shell Standards.
</li><li>Prepare Initial response, carry out assessment, ensure correct prioritization of work, troubleshoot &amp; propose technical solutions virtually, co-ordinate discussion with stakeholders, conduct Risk Assessment, ensure good QA/QC, record keeping, &amp; final job closure to enable high equipment reliability &amp; plant technical availability.

</li><li>Routine Planner should determine (in consultation with maintenance/operations) what is required in terms of resources, tools, etc.) and build the workpack /routine plan accordingly.
</li><li>The Routine plans/ workpacks are multi-disciplinary (E/I, Mechanical, scaffolding etc.); The planner will have basic multi-disciplinary knowledge; for detailed knowledge he/she should work together with colleagues from operations and maintenance.
</li><li>Job hazard assessment, setting out risks anticipated required while performing tasks and creating Permit to work.
</li><li>Planning of end-to-end work orders to enable efficient scheduling and ensure compliance of executable work orders. First level diagnosis of damage history, determining the failure mode based on anomaly reports and information given in corrective maintenance work request/ notification.
</li><li>Improving productivity by ensuring the resource, special tool, material, and service requirements availability before the job begins. Customize the equipment make and model specific work packs into site specific workpack by adding site conditions and parameters.
</li><li>Constantly engage with site maintenance leads, original equipment manufacturers, vendors and modify the workpacks as recommended/required by the site maintenance personnel.
</li><li>Anticipate &amp; plan for mandatory spares, tools and tackles and manpower required for the heavy-duty equipment based on the information extracted from maintenance manuals, collate any additional information about equipment &amp; its spares, if required from the vendors and accommodate the information in the workpack.
</li><li>Understanding the functions of the various equipment and instruments and thorough knowledge of reading/ interpreting the engineering drawings (P&amp;IDs, PEFS, PFDs).
</li><li>Shall be able to demonstrate the capabilities of supporting remote assets with their routine maintenance planning. Develop work planning through SAP with clear understanding of all required information and documentation to execute a job in the field.
</li><li>Sound knowledge on work prioritization, production critical threats, safety systems management and statutory compliances.
</li><li>The candidate should have worked in the capacity of and now be able to work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Scheduling to develop a plan for executing the work on field. What&rsquo;s the role
As a Projects Portfolio Cost Estimator, your role is to develop accurate cost estimates for capital and operational expenditures across all project phases. You&rsquo;ll translate project scope into detailed estimates, incorporating risk-based contingencies using deterministic and probabilistic methods. Key tasks include scenario analysis, benchmarking, estimate reviews, and alignment with planning teams. You&rsquo;ll manage estimate documentation, support data collection for future benchmarking, and provide assurance on detailed estimates using actual costs and construction data. The role also involves presenting insights, maintaining estimate records, and driving continuous improvement in cost estimation practices.
What you&rsquo;ll be doing 
 
<ul><li>The Projects Portfolio Cost Estimator scope involves the translation of Project scope into the estimate of capital and operational expenditure cost during the project phases (Identify, Assess, Select, Define and Execute). The estimates completed by the cost estimator not only cover the costs associated with the engineering, procurement, construction, implementation commissioning and start-up but also address the translation of the project risk profile into cost contingency via deterministic and probabilistic methods, the potential effect of market movements over the project timescale, and the complete suite of &ldquo;Owners Costs&rdquo; that Shell will experience.
</li><li>Formulate methodologies for deriving quantities from design parameters.
</li><li>Support project teams on scenario comparisons, uncertainty analysis and sensitivities on cost estimates, reflecting analysis of project risks.
</li><li>Support reviews and assurance of cost estimates. Benchmark against historical performance, industry norms and established KPIs.
</li><li>Assess prospect scope and develop consistent estimates ranging from Type 0 to Type 4.
</li><li>Work with Planning &amp; Cost Engineers to ensure alignment between planning and cost deliverables.
</li><li>Arrange Estimate Kick Offs and Estimate Review meetings with the stakeholders.
</li><li>Develop Estimate Plan detailing how the estimate will be developed.
</li><li>Develop Estimate Basis to document how estimate was developed.
</li><li>Support process to collect actual cost performance, condition and normalise data for future use, develop metrics and benchmarking information.
</li><li>Develop benchmarking packages at appropriate level to check estimate results from top down versus both internal and external comparable data. Work with IPA forms and reports to understand comparison of Shell projects to industry datasets.
</li><li>Utilise Technical, Economical, Commercial, Organisational &amp; Political (TECOP) profile to establish appropriate deterministic cost contingency.
</li><li>Support development of deterministic cost model and probabilistic cost analysis.

</li><li>Update SharePoint with Estimates, Benchmark data and relevant data for future reference.
</li><li>Provide assurance and challenge, as needed, on detailed project cost estimates (Type 4). Incorporate project actual costs to date and detailed MTOs from IFC (Issue For Construction) design packages matched with detailed pricing and construction unit hours to establish remaining project costs.
</li><li>Perform uncertainty analysis and sensitivities on cost estimates, reflecting analysis of project risks. Utilize appropriate deterministic or probabilistic risk assessment tools to develop the appropriate cost contingencies.
</li></ul>What you bring
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering and/or Certification as a Cost Estimator or equivalent experience.
</li><li>Minimum 5-10 years of experience in cost estimating positions in the Oil &amp; Gas industry (operating refinery or petrochemicals plants preferred) on small capital projects portfolios.
</li><li>Fully versed with Cost Estimating Tools and Methodologies.
</li><li>Well versed with ASPEN TECH estimating tool
</li><li>Experience in cost risk analysis, preferably with both deterministic and probabilistic methods.
</li><li>Experience in sourcing and using benchmark data
</li><li>Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills

</li><li>Advance skill level in MS Excel.
