Our Finance Department plays a key role in supporting the schools through accurate financial reporting, effective budget management, and regulatory compliance.The RoleWe are looking for a proactive and organised Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations, ensure compliance with local regulations, and contribute to effective financial planning. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a well-structured finance team in a respected educational environment.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reports</li><li>Maintain general ledger accounts, journal entries, and reconciliations</li><li>Monitor budgets, expenditures, and financial records</li><li>Ensure compliance with Qatar&rsquo;s financial regulations and international accounting standards</li><li>Assist with internal and external audits and liaise with auditors</li><li>Provide accurate financial data and analysis to support management decisions</li><li>Support and collaborate with other members of the Finance team</li></ul>Qualifications and ExperienceEssential<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field</li><li>Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent)</li><li>Minimum of 3&ndash;5 years&rsquo; relevant accounting experience</li><li>Strong proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel</li><li>Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills</li><li>High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail</li></ul>Desirable<ul><li>Experience in an educational institution or international organisation</li><li>Knowledge of Qatar&rsquo;s financial and tax regulations</li><li>Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle</li></ul>Safeguarding and Child ProtectionSherborne Qatar is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
