Job Description:
The Human Resources Coordinator will provide administrative and operational support across multiple HR functions, including employee credentials and compliance, benefits administration, talent acquisition, learning and development, employee communications, and HR systems. This role will serve as a key resource for employees and managers by responding to HR-related inquiries and helping ensure HR processes run smoothly and efficiently.
We are particularly excited to find someone who is interested in leveraging technology and exploring innovative AI solutions to improve HR operations, employee experience, and business outcomes.
This role is intentionally designed as a developmental opportunity for an early-career professional seeking to build a broad foundation in Human Resources and grow into increasingly strategic HR responsibilities over time.
Job Responsibilities:
Employee Credentials &amp; Compliance<ul><li>
Maintain employee credentialing, licensure, certification, and compliance records.</li><li>
Monitor expiration dates and coordinate renewal communications.</li><li>
Ensure employee records are accurate and up to date within HR systems.</li><li>
Assist with audits and compliance reporting.</li></ul>
Employee Support<ul><li>
Serve as a first point of contact for HR-related questions.</li><li>
Respond to or direct inquiries regarding policies, benefits, time off, and HR programs.</li><li>
Escalate complex issues to appropriate HR team members as needed.</li></ul>
Benefits Administration<ul><li>
Support benefits enrollment, life events, and employee communications.</li><li>
Assist employees with benefits-related questions and resources.</li><li>
Support open enrollment activities and educational materials.</li></ul>
Talent Acquisition Support<ul><li>
Support recruiting, onboarding, and candidate engagement activities.</li></ul>
Learning &amp; Development<ul><li>
Assist with training coordination, tracking course completion, and maintaining learning and development materials.</li></ul>
HR Technology &amp; Process Improvement<ul><li>
Help explore, test, and implement emerging AI and automation solutions that improve employee experience, streamline HR processes, and enhance decision making. This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the future of HR at Shields Health.</li><li>
Support HRIS maintenance and data integrity.</li><li>
Analyze HR data and workforce trends to support decision-making, identify opportunities for improvement, and measure the impact of our HR programs.</li><li>
Partner with the HR team to identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.</li><li>
Contribute ideas that improve efficiency, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness.</li></ul>
General HR Administration<ul><li>
Maintain confidential employee information and records.</li><li>
Prepare HR presentations.</li><li>
Support employee engagement initiatives and company events.</li><li>
Assist with special projects and departmental initiatives.</li></ul>
Additional Job Description:
Requirements<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or a related field.</li><li>
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>
Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.</li></ul>
Preferred<ul><li>
Internship or prior experience in Human Resources, recruiting, customer service, administration, or healthcare.</li><li>
Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday.</li><li>
Interest in AI, automation, and emerging workplace technologies.</li><li>
SHRM-CP, PHR, or willingness to pursue certification in the future.</li></ul>

Pay range for this position is $48,000-75,000 + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
