The Company is seeking a highly motivated, self-starter who is looking for a challenging career with a fast-growing company in the specialty pharmacy management services. We are seeking experienced pharmacy technicians who are registered with the State of employment. Nationally certified as a CPhT is preferred but not required. Critical to this position is a person who is able to work independently and establish strong and credible relationships with patients, clinicians and internal Shields staff. Applicants should be results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high patient quality and service. Detail orientation and strong administrative/organization skills are required. Mature, approachable, professional, and comfortable in dealing with others both in-person and on the phone. Applicant must be reliable, tolerant, and determined; an empathetic communicator, able to see things from the other person's point of view. Most importantly, person must be able to work as a member of a close-knit team.

Provides integrated support to patients and pharmacists by providing a 'hands-on&quot; approach to total quality patient care. Works closely with patients to deliver a full continuum of medication adherence support by utilizing our various tools and applications. Encourages patients of specialty clinics to utilize pharmacy to fully benefit from its superior patient care services. Given that the Pharmacy Liaison will be located in one of the medical center clinics, seamlessly integrating with the clinic team (doctors, nurses, staff, etc.) is critical to the liaison's success.

Job Duties:
<ul>
<li>Provide &quot;legendary&quot; care to hospital patients by providing a full suite of custom medication management services</li>
<li>As a member of the clinic team, work seamlessly alongside hospital clinicians to serve patients both face-to-face and over the phone</li>
<li>Educate prospective pharmacy patients on how hospital serves patients and improves their overall care.</li>
<li>Support outpatient retail and specialty prescription medication needs.</li>
<li>Grow the specialty pharmacies patient population</li>
<li>Ensure that patients remain on track with medication regimens- outbound therapy/medication adherence check-ups; secures refill prescriptions.</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with the centralized Patient Service Center with respect to such communications as: the refill report, the zero-fill report, the monthly outstanding report and the appointment list.</li>
<li>Help develop new processes to ensure smooth operations and patient care.</li>
<li>Identify medications requiring special storage and/or handling such as hazardous medications and/or refrigerated medication.</li>
<li>Identify supplies necessary for select medications such sharps containers, needles/syringes, alcohol swabs, Band-Aids.</li>
<li>Answer, resolve and triage inbound inquiries.</li>
<li>Perform refill reminder calls under the supervision of a pharmacist.</li>
<li>Resolve insurance related issues, including prior authorizations (PAs), and assist patients with various forms of financial assistance.</li>
<li>Ensure appropriate documentation in all required systems/tracking mechanisms.</li>
<li>Manage, organize, and update relevant data using database applications.</li>
<li>Apply observations and recommendations to operational issues, increased productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.</li>
<li>Identify trends, resolves problems; recommend improvements; implement change.</li>
<li>Actively participate in process improvement initiatives.</li>
<li>Act as a value-added business partner to stakeholders throughout the organization.</li>
<li>Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.</li>
<li>Update knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining networks; participating in professional organizations.</li>

Experience/ Education:

Required Licensure/Certification: We are seeking experienced pharmacy technicians who are state registered as a pharmacy technician. Nationally certified as a CPhT or equivalent is strongly preferred but not required. Should additional licensure need to be obtained, the applicant will commit to obtaining the required licensure within a mutually agreed upon timeframe. Continued employment is contingent upon meeting these requirements.

Years of Experience: Required 2 years, Preferred 3-5 years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician

Education: High School Diploma or GED required

An employee in this position can expect a salary rate between $57,000.00 and $68,000.00 plus bonus pursuant to the terms of any bonus plan, if applicable. The actual salary will depend on experience, seniority, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law.

Lead Pharmacy Technician

<li>RxTriage&reg; is the extension of the traditional Shields model beyond pharmacy benefit outpatient coverage to provide comprehensive patient support independent of insurance coverage (pharmacy vs. medical) and site-of-care (outpatient self-administered, HOPD, AIC, home infusion, etc.)</li>
<li>The RxTriage&reg; service line provides differentiated value to health system partners by ensuring patients receive the optimal site of care in a payor landscape rife with site of care restrictions and multiple care options both within and outside of the health system</li>
<li>The RxTriage&reg; team works with health system partners to understand their site-of-care ecosystem and help navigate patients in need of infusion to the optimal place to receive their care, leading to superior patient health and economic outcomes</li></ul> 


About the Role
<ul><li>The Senior Manager, Operations Innovation &ndash; RxTriage&reg; will lead the implementation of Shields RxTriage&reg; services across health system partner specialty clinics, coordinating closely with pharmacy infusion services including home infusion, specialty infusion centers, and other hospital‑aligned programs</li>
<li>Will be responsible for ensuring the holistic success of the program at go‑live, including effective operational handoffs, well‑defined clinical workflows, and achievement of patient success metrics</li>
<li>The Senior Manager, Operations Innovation &ndash; RxTriage&reg; will work closely with health system partner clinical teams, infusion sites, and pharmacy teams, as well as Shields Operations, Operations Innovation, and Corporate Strategy to successfully stand-up complex workflows.</li>
<li>Although initially focused on implementing RxTriage&reg; services, this role will be instrumental in the program's long-term success and offers the opportunity to grow into a broader operational leadership position as RxTriage&reg; expands</li>
<li>Lead a team of Medical Intake Coordinators and collaborate with Shields in‑clinic resources to ensure workflow fidelity and reliable access to required hospital IT systems.</li>
<li>Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, charters, risk registers, and communication strategies.</li>
<li>Given the close working relationships and the process/operational work that is required for a successful roll-out, there is significant travel to the hospital partner's location, exact requirements to be determined.</li></ul> 


Key Responsibilities

Implementation Leadership &amp; Execution
<ul>
<li>Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, charters, risk registers, and communication strategies.</li>
<li>Coordinate cross-functional workstreams (pharmacy, nursing, IT, revenue cycle, compliance, supply chain, facilities, etc.) to ensure operational readiness.</li>
<li>Conduct prelaunch assessments to determine site readiness, workflow needs, staffing models, and training requirements.</li>
<li>Ensure smooth go live execution and act as the primary point of contact for issue resolution.</li>
</ul>
Project &amp; Program Management
<ul>
<li>Manage multiple concurrent implementations at varying stages of development.</li>
<li>Track progress against milestones, proactively identify risks, and initiate mitigation strategies.</li>
<li>Monitor budget, resource allocation, and scope; escalate variances as needed.</li>
<li>Create and distribute regular status reports and executive level updates.</li>
<li>Stakeholder Engagement &amp; Communication</li>
<li>Serve as the central liaison among internal teams, external partners, clinical leadership, and operational stakeholders.</li>
<li>Facilitate project meetings, leadership briefings, and post implementation reviews.</li>
<li>Build strong relationships to drive alignment, adoption, and long-term sustainability of new programs.</li>
</ul>
Operational Optimization &amp; Standardization
<ul>
<li>Support development and refinement of standardized implementation playbooks, operating procedures, and best practices.</li>
<li>Analyze workflow data and operational outcomes to optimize future implementations.</li>
<li>Promote continuous improvement and ensure all programs adhere to clinical, regulatory, and operational compliance standards.</li></ul> 


Experience / Requirements

Required:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, or related field</li>
<li>5+ years of experience in pharmacy operations, infusion services, healthcare operations, healthcare project management or related roles.</li>
<li>3+ years of project management or implementation experience, with proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.</li>
<li>Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams without direct authority.</li>
<li>Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, etc.).</li>
</ul>
Preferred
<ul>
<li>Master's degree (MBA, MHA, PharmD, MS in Healthcare Management)</li>
<li>PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of infusion pharmacy workflows, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards (URAC, ACHC, Joint Commission), and reimbursement processes.</li>
<li>Experience launching new infusion centers, home infusion programs, or specialty pharmacy services.</li>
<li>Familiarity with EMRs, infusion software platforms, and pharmacy system integrations.</li>
