Job Duties:</b></p>

<li>Provide &quot;legendary&quot; care to hospital patients by providing a full suite of custom medication management services.</li>

A Patient Support Supervisor is a key leadership position supporting Shields Health Solutions Patient Support team. This position will provide day-to-day leadership for a significant portion of Patient Support Center and will be responsible for leading a team of Patient Support team members. This person is primarily responsible to ensure either/both of the following: Manage all responsible work of assigned sites/clinics and ensure service level metrics are reached in accordance with contract requirements. The leader is responsible for ensuring the adoption and continuity of best practices, providing ongoing support, coordinating coverage, coaching, performance management and professional development of the team, and any other support team members.</p>

Key Responsibilities:</p>

In this role, you'll manage <b>both inbound and outbound pharmacy communications</b>, support medication adherence, and help remove access barriers for patients across diverse populations.</p>

Core Responsibilities</b></h3>

 Handle inbound pharmacy calls and conduct proactive outbound refill and engagement calls in <b>English and Spanish</b><br>
✅ Educate and guide patients through the end-to-end medication refill process<br>
 Coordinate prescription refills, including data entry and pharmacy claim adjudication<br>
 Perform prescription status checks and resolve adjudication or coverage issues<br>
 Serve as a liaison between patients, pharmacists, clinicians, payors, and internal support teams<br>
 Communicate with pharmacists and clinicians to clarify prescriptions and resolve discrepancies<br>
❄️ Identify medications requiring special handling (e.g., refrigerated or hazardous) and ensure proper protocols<br>
 Accurately document and maintain patient, prescription, and communication records across multiple systems<br>
 Identify repeat issues and trends, escalating opportunities for workflow or process improvement<br>
 Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and healthcare privacy standards<br>
 Participate in ongoing training, quality assurance activities, and professional development<br>
<ul><li>Maintain schedule flexibility to support health system partner needs</li><li>8-hour shifts, Monday&ndash;Friday between <b>7:00am&ndash;7:00pm EST</b></li><li>Occasional weekends as needed</li></ul></div>

<li>Specialty pharmacy or complex therapies</li>
<li>Collaboration with clinical care teams</li>
<li>Remote, call center, or high-volume pharmacy environments (strong plus)</li>
