Head of Teacher Training Position Summary:Lead the teacher training function by designing and implementing high-quality training programs, managing faculty development, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting effective pedagogy. The role focuses on creating competent educators aligned with Shikha&rsquo;s vision and culture.Key Responsibilities:1. Program Development<ul><li>Design and curate high-quality teacher training content aligned with Shikha&rsquo;s vision and mission.</li><li>Establish policies and processes for running teacher training and professional development.</li><li>Implement structured teacher training programs based on institutional philosophy and standards.</li><li>Create frameworks to assess the effectiveness of training programs.</li></ul>2. Academic Leadership &amp; Curriculum Development<ul><li>Develop competency-based curricula with practical relevance in collaboration with experts.</li><li>Mentor and coach teachers on pedagogy, classroom management, and instructional design.</li><li>Promote student-centered teaching methods and engaging learning practices.</li><li>Stay updated on current trends and best practices in teacher education.</li></ul>3. Professional Development<ul><li>Plan regular professional development sessions with clear learning outcomes.</li><li>Collaborate with external experts to deliver high-impact training.</li></ul>4. Faculty &amp; Team Development<ul><li>Recruit, onboard, and mentor teacher trainers and academic faculty.</li><li>Monitor faculty performance and conduct regular appraisals.</li><li>Create a positive, supportive environment for educator growth.</li></ul>5. Regulatory Compliance &amp; Quality Assurance<ul><li>Ensure compliance with NCTE, university, and statutory requirements.</li><li>Prepare reports for accreditation and inspections.</li><li>Implement assessment mechanisms to evaluate program effectiveness.</li></ul>6. Collaboration &amp; Alignment<ul><li>Work with other departments to align training programs with institutional goals.</li><li>Build partnerships with schools, universities, and educational organizations.</li></ul>7. Administrative &amp; Financial Oversight<ul><li>Manage daily academic and administrative operations.</li><li>Oversee budgeting and resource allocation.</li></ul>8. Additional Duties<ul><li>Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Director or Governing Body.</li></ul>Qualification &amp; Experience:<ul><li>Education:</li><li>Master&rsquo;s in Education or equivalent.</li><li>Ph.D. in Education or related field preferred.</li></ul><ul><li>Experience:</li><li>Minimum 10 years in teacher education, including at least 5 years in a leadership role</li><li>Prior experience teaching B.Ed courses or managing a teacher training institute is mandatory</li><li>Experience in designing teacher certification programs and development initiatives is preferred.</li></ul>Key Competencies &amp; Skills:<ul><li>Strong leadership and strategic thinking.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Deep knowledge of teacher education policies and academic governance.</li><li>Ability to develop faculty and promote research.</li><li>Commitment to quality education and continuous improvement.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Work Location: In person
