<div>Junior Accountant

Location: Chicago or Boston (Hybrid)

About the position 
 
As a Junior Accountant at Showpad, you will be a key member of a dynamic, international finance team. You will own core accounting tasks such as cash reconciliations, fixed asset management, journal entries, and month-end close processes. You will also support the Accountant and Accounting Manager with monthly closings, expense report reviews, and accounts payable. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities as Junior Accountant at Showpad
<ul>
<li>Take the lead in cash reconciliations for multi companies and banks</li>
<li>Post Prepaid expenses and track them within the system for accuracy of the postings</li>
<li>Fixed asset management, depreciation and amortization entries</li>
<li>Assist the Accountant/Accounting Manager in the monthly closings and prepare Journal entries/set up and post accruals</li>
<li>Make the 7 day close deadline with reconciliations,Journal entries, and other task given for the close process</li>
<li>Review expense reports + analysis of expenses on a monthly basis</li>
<li>Post payroll accruals and actuals for the month</li>
<li>Month end balance sheet reconciliations</li>
<li>Back up to Accounts Payable</li>
<li>Back up for the PO process and expense report process</li>
</ul>
Skills and Qualifications we are looking for
<ul>
<li>Associates degree or equivalent in Accounting</li>
<li>Knowledge of accounting principles and practices</li>
<li>Previous experience of general accounting</li>
<li>Knowledge of GAAP</li>
<li>Technical accounting skills (Netsuite, Excel, &hellip;)</li>
<li>Flexible</li>
<li>Problem solving skills</li>
<li>Like to work in a great team in a fast paced organisation</li>

Junior Accountant

<div>Global Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: This role requires two days in office in our Chicago or Boston office

About the position

As a Global AP Specialist at Showpad, you will join a dynamic team within an international company. As part of the finance team, you will need strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. We believe in the power of collaboration, so you must be a team player who can plan and organize workload effectively alongside the Accountant. We are looking for someone with strong problem analysis and problem-solving skills. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Accounting.

Key responsibilities as Global AP Specialist at Showpad
<ul>
<li>Review and enter al A/P invoices maintaining the A/P email inbox (domestic and international)</li>
<li>Upload and paying open A/P through several banks and through the ACH process</li>
<li>Review and approve PO's in Zip that feeds into NetSuite</li>
<li>Review and approve expense reports in Raydoo that feeds into NetSuite</li>
<li>Review and approve Navan travel bills</li>
<li>Reconcile company credit cards and post timely into NetSuite</li>
<li>Suggest vendor accruals at month end to the Asst. Controller</li>
<li>Ensure all vendors are 1099 compliant, process 1099's yearly</li>
</ul>
Skills and Qualifications we are looking for
<ul>
<li>Associates degree or equivalent (3 or more years in A/P) in Accounting</li>
<li>Knowledge of accounting principles and practices</li>
<li>Previous experience with international accounts payable</li>
<li>Knowledge bill.com or equivalent systems</li>
<li>Accurate expense coding, high volume invoices</li>
<li>Problem solving skills</li>
<li>Like to work in a great team in a fast paced organisation</li>
