Job Title - Senior Electrical Designer US Citizenship Required 100% Onsite &ndash; No TeleworkJob Summary: 1. This role plans, develops, and reviews electrical engineering design work, prepares drawings, documentation, and design estimates, and coordinates with clients and technical teams. The position focuses on electrical 3D and 2D design using SmartPlant 3D, AutoCAD, and SmartSketch for new facility infrastructure on DoD and USAF projects, including the Sentinel project. Strong teamwork, problem-solving, organization, and innovation skills are required.Major Responsibilities: 1. Lead or support electrical designers and drafters in producing 2D and 3D CAD models and construction drawings. 2. Develop and review complex electrical system designs ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and standards. Prepare material requisitions, bid evaluations, and design estimates. 3. Perform constructability reviews and ensure quality, safety, and cost-effective designs. Prepare standardized design and drafting procedures. 4. Coordinate jobsite visits, resolve design issues, and manage scope changes. 5. Model electrical rooms, equipment, raceways, lighting, grounding, and lightning protection in SmartPlant 3D. 6.Produce drawings, installation details, bills of materials, and specifications using SmartSketch, AutoCAD, and SpecsIntact. 7. Perform lighting and grounding calculations using AGI32 and ETAP. Coordinate 3D model activities with other disciplines and support integrated design execution. 8. Mentor junior designers and collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams.Education and Experience: AA/AS degree or CAD/Engineering certificate with 7&ndash;8 years of experience, or 9&ndash;12 years of relevant experience. U.S. citizenship required. 9. Must pass pre-employment drug and background checks.Required Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of NEC and NEMA/ANSI/IEEE standards. Experience with electronic cable management systems (e.g., SETROUTE). Advanced proficiency in SmartPlant 3D, SmartSketch, and AutoCAD. Experience with electrical systems for nuclear, industrial, or complex facilities. Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across disciplines. Familiarity with QA programs (e.g., ISO-9000) and prior DoD/USAF/USACE/NAVFAC/NASA project experience preferred.Job Type: Full-timePay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hourExpected hours: No more than 45 per weekWork Location: In person
