<div><div>Shriners Salt Lake City has a position opening for a Certified Medical Assistant that is available to work full-time in our Outpatient Clinic. Under the leadership of the Outpatient Department Manager and the indirect supervision of Physicians, the CMA will assist with the delivery of patient care in the clinic by preparing information for upcoming clinics, maintaining clinic flow, obtaining routine clinical information on patients/family; providing physical care of the patients, transcribing of delegated orders into the EMR, assisting with cast applications and removals, and room disinfection and restocking of supplies.</div><div></div><div> 
The pay range for this position is $20.47 - $30.70/hourly. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and department equity.</div>

Communicates information to patients, families &amp; colleagues in a clear, concise &amp; professional manner.</li><li>
Responsible for prepping clinic in timely manner to be prepared for that days clinic.</li><li>
Assures that all consult and lab results are available for the provider to review before patient is seen.</li><li>
Assists provider with delivery of patient care tasks. Rooms patients, sees new patients, hands out care coordination brochure, &amp; manages clinic flow.</li><li>
Will participate in on going education of DX and procedures to help with patient education and self knowledge.</li><li>
Utilizes Epic to document relevant patient information in real time in the EMR.</li></ul><div>

 The Patient Care Assistant assists in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The PCA provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks as assigned. Must consistently demonstrate caring and appropriate behavior when interacting with patients and families. As one of only four pediatric burn specialty hospitals in the Shriners Children's health system, we are designated by the American Burn Association (ABA) and the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma as a verified pediatric burn center. Located on Galveston Island, our 30-bed inpatient hospital provides a full line of both inpatient and outpatient care specializing in burn care, orthopedic conditions, complex skin conditions, and plastic and reconstructive surgery. Our services extend to a number outreach clinics in San Angelo &amp; Marshall, Texas, and Monterrey, San Luis Potosi, Guadalajara, Veracruz, Toluca &amp; Chihuahua Mexico and Panama, which provide children and families access to high-quality, specialized burn and orthopedic care.
