Job Description
Job Summary 
 
Provide high-level administrative support to executive leadership at Shriners Hospitals for Children, ensuring efficient operation of the executive office and seamless execution of administrative tasks. 
 
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Schedules activities, special events, travel arrangements and special projects for the Hospital Administrator and assures effective coordination of the activities</li><li>
Assists with the Hospital Administrator's time by researching, routing correspondence, drafting letters and documents, collecting and analyzing information, preparing information for meetings, scheduling and maintaining calendar and meetings</li><li>
Works with staff to complete annual surveys</li><li>
Coordinates student affiliation agreements between universities and legal councils at SHC headquarters office, works with other hospitals in preparing transfer agreements</li><li>
Receives and documents donations received at hospital</li><li>
Prepares and monitors the budget for the Administration Department</li><li>
Prepares monthly packets for Board Members</li><li>
Provides support to the Board of Governors</li></ul> 
Required Qualifications<ul><li>

Job Description
Shriners Children's Chicago has an opportunity for a Social Worker. In this role you will be responsible for providing assessments, planning, interventions and follow-up for patients and family members at Shriners Children's across the continuum of care. Through this function, by joining the team, you'll have the opportunity to make an impact on our patient's experience. You'll help to provide continuity of care for positive outcomes in our family centered environment.
Key Responsibiliites:<ul><li>
Documents assessments, interventions, plans and evaluations in accordance with regulatory agency requirements and SHC policy.</li><li>
Coordinates the plan of care plan to achieve desired outcomes and integrates the work of the health care team by coordinating resources and services necessary to accomplish agreed-upon goals.

Social Worker

<div><div>The Plant Facilities Coordinator is responsible for keeping records for the hospital's preventive maintenance program of equipment and machines, performing other clerical duties such as, but not limited to typing, filing and contacting vendors for cost comparisons. Recording and transcribing minutes for the Plant Facilities, Safety, and other committees. Also, performing clerical tasks for the Safety and Security department, Environmental Services department and relief of Switchboard Operator / Receptionist duties for the hospital. Duties include noting recommended servicing dates, reviewing warranties, filing of contracts and contacting vendors for servicing as directed. Maintains the department Materials Safety Data Sheet handbook and recording and updating of OSHA files. Works under the direct supervision of the Manager of Plant Facilities.</div><div></div><div>

As one of only four pediatric burn specialty hospitals in the Shriners Children's health system, we are designated by the American Burn Association (ABA) and the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma as a verified pediatric burn center. Located on Galveston Island, our 30-bed inpatient hospital provides a full line of both inpatient and outpatient care specializing in burn care, orthopedic conditions, complex skin conditions, and plastic and reconstructive surgery.
